Hi Kickstarter! A year ago, your overwhelming support for our first project kickstarted a new company, Cinetics. Based on your requests, we created CineMoco, a compact motor controlled dolly and slider for video and timelapse photography. Now, we need your help to put CineMoco into production. The modular CineMoco System delivers camera moves ranging from dolly shots to motor controlled timelapse, and you can carry it on your back. The system consists of several new products SkatePlate, SkateTrack, and CineMoco and it works with CineSkates, our original dolly wheels for GorillaPod Focus. The products can be ordered in several different arrangements, so see if there is one for you!
SkatePlate is the CineMoco frame as well as the ultimate upgrade for CineSkates and miniSkates! 'Skates snap on to our brand new SkatePlate to form a killer video dolly! Arcing and linear moves set up quickly with angle markings, arms retract for storage, and the rigid design supports cameras up to 11 lbs (5 kg). CineSkates (or miniSkates) and a ballhead are required and not included and can be added before your reward ships.
CineMoco makes smooth repeatable moves for video, shoots photos between moves for timelapse photography, and moves on command for stop motion animation. It runs from open source software and includes a built in 5 hour rechargeable battery, power cable, camera trigger cable and travel bags. Here is the quick start guide and the current draft of the instruction manual. The camera trigger works with many cameras, see the compatible camera list. CineMoco Dolly includes new CineSkates V wheels. CineMoco Upgrade is for backers that already have CineSkates and includes CineMoco and SkatePlate. A ballhead or other tripod head is required.
CineMoco Slider enables smooth motor controlled motion on any terrain and collapses into a backpack attachable travel bag. V wheels ride smoothly on flat surfaces and also on SkateTrack. SkateTrack is a set of (4) two foot long aluminum rails, (3) rail connectors and (2) outrigger legs that all assemble to create a four foot track. CineMoco Slider includes SkatePlate, CineMoco, CineSkates V Wheels, SkateTrack and travel bags. Requires a ballhead or other tripod head. SkateTrack Extension includes (4) two foot long aluminum rails, (2) rail connectors, and (1) outrigger leg set that combine to expand the track another four feet. SkateTrack Extension and additional Outrigger Legs may be added to your reward at the end of the project.
We can ship worldwide! We will collect your address and payment for shipping when the project completes. An email will be sent to the address on your Kickstarter account and will route you to cinetics.com to check out. We will only be collecting your shipping fees and address here, unless you would like to add anything to you order.
The chart below shows estimated shipping charges. Your shipping cost will vary. US backers can get actual shipping quotes from USPS or UPS. International shipments will be via UPS. We ship from Austin, TX 78746 USA.
For international shipments, UPS is required to prevent packages from being lost and to provide accurate tracking information. Additionally, CineMoco contains a lithium battery which can not be sent through USPS.
We are required to indicate the actual purchase price on packages shipped internationally. Customs fees may be collected depending on your country. There is nothing we can do about this, unfortunately.
Texas residents will be charged 8.25% sales tax.

Patents pending for Cinetics systems and methods for adapting camera mounting devices. Cinetics® reserves the rights to the CineMoco™, SkatePlate™, SkateTrack™, CineDolly™, and miniDolly™ names and logos. The CineMoco software is open source!
