Alpha Testing Reveals Great Coffee, Small Hiccup
Hi Coffee Changers!
We’ve been doing small group tests in preparation for our Beta testing phase - Alpha tests, if you will. These guided tests have been instrumental in helping us develop our Beta testing plan, uncovering where issues might lie and what avenues demand further exploration by our stalwart Beta testers.
So far, our initial Alpha testers RAVED about the coffee, and loved the roasting experience. One tester even described the little window into the roasting chamber as a “cinema” and said he watched the “entrancing” roasting process “head on elbow” like a child in front of a washing machine.
We did discover one hiccup, however: An issue with the toaster hatch. Several of our testers had difficulties with green beans falling in and blocking the path to the grinder. We’re working on developing solutions. If you have any ideas, please don’t hesitate to share! You can find some pictures below that might give you some insights. We’re eager to get this sorted out so we can launch our awaiting Beta production (which we have tentatively scheduled for Oct. 17 if we can solve this last issue).
Thanks so much, Coffee Changers! Looking forward to continuing evolving this project with you!
Best,
Team Bonaverde

Hi Brady-
Thanks for the great ideas! While it may not be available in time for Beta testing, we have heard what you and other backers have said about the design, and are developing alternative design options for the future. Awesome thoughts on the LED indicator as well! Your input and enthusiasm are much appreciated.

...and that light strip on the bottom of the unit could use some programming to become a better status indicator. How about making it each led light up individually and pulse as the roasting process is progressing? Start out with one pulsing led, then two, etc until they are all pulsing just shortly before brewing is completed. You could even color code them to coincide with the part of the process.

Well, in the mean time, it would be pretty sweet if us Beta testers could get a unit in a different color than what is planned for mass production... How about something like a flat black or dark gray finish with a dark brown accent color instead of that hideous green color? I don't think the Bonaverde machine has any problem with "standing out from the rest" due to it's size... I would imagine white is going to get very dirty very fast as a result of the roasting process.

Hey all-
We realize without a little more background, this does appear to be a major oversight on our part. I just posted another update that will hopefully clear things up a little bit. Thank you so much for your continued patience through what we realize has been a frustrating process.

Thanks, Robert, for the suggestion! Keep an eye out for more as we go forward! Unfortunately, I'm having trouble finding a clear video for you at the moment, but hopefully some will come my way as the investigation continues. Thanks for giving it some thought!

bahahahahaha. I went out and bought a roaster this year because I was tired of waiting for something that seemed like it would never come. Can't say I regret my decision...

This is not some new issue that's come up because of your hideous Barad-dûr design, it's a fundamental part and purpose. You went through 135 prototypes and YEARS of lies and you're just now finding this issue?
"➢ Machine parts: We have done more than 18 months of closed beta testing on all crucial parts. We identified the critical parts of our machine and either replaced or made sure to fix them."
What is this part if not crucial? Is there any statement you have ever made that isn't doused in gallons of bullshit before you publish it?
135 prototypes. 18 months on crucial parts. Plus the years of whatever-nothing you've been doing since the campaign closed, and now you're so out of your element and drowning in your bullshit that you ask Kickstarter backers for engineering help?
The amount of bullshit you live in must be nauseating to anyone that meets you.
But by all means, do attempt to spray more bullshit on this and come up with an excuse for how you could have been telling the truth for years and still run in to this now. You've clearly got plenty of bullshit left in you.

Tanks for the weekly update! Looking forward to the next one.
Need a little time to think about the issue at hand. Can you post a video versus just pictures?
Robert
