Just before we print...
Since using our original amount of colors (6) is unusual for decks, we've simplified the color scheme to use the traditional amount (4 colors). It looks better and increased contrast makes it more functional. You can see what it looks like below.
To get the most accurate idea of how these will look (and get the best looking colors), we've picked up our own Pantone reference books. The printing process used on cards is much higher quality than something you'd print from your printer, so we're making sure you fully benefit from that.
There's been some tweaks.
- The tuckbox design (as seen on our Twitter) has been further polished. A lot of it will be foiled out when printed.
- We ran a poll, and it's been decided that we're keeping the custom suits/pips. They'll be cleaned up. No major changes.
- Little tweaks in the face cards
- Borders and font improvements
We've played with other decks of the same cardstock produced by our manufacturer (Legends), and we think you guys will love how these handle. They're solid feeling and have a nice snap.
In the final talks to press "go" and start printing.
We're working on getting the decks to you before the election. As a result, numbering the tucks isn't an option; however, there's a good chance that this is the only print run (still very limited).
If you haven't already, secure your decks by preordering now! We'll be locking down preorders (you won't be able to change your order) and charging your cards soon (don't worry about this if you've pledged via Kickstarter, we have your funds already). Everyone is able to update their shipping address for the next several weeks, up until shipping (we'll also give heads-up by then).
