About

The video shows a working prototype. However, there is still a lot of work to do. For instance, it clearly needs more weapons and explosions ;-). User interface must also be improved, bugs must be fixed, etc.

Game will be single-player and multi-player (LAN / Internet).

A race track editor will be provided.

Many game modes will be included:

  • Campaign: race against AIs, earn money after each race based on your position, spend the money improving your cars (armor, weapons, etc), and win the cup. (single-player only).
  • Custom Race: the race you want, the way you want it. Up to 10 AI on an average computer. (single-player / multi-player). You either start with predefined weapons or they appear randomly on the track.
  • Road Rage: had a bad time in real life on the road when coming back from work? Calm your nerves by driving through a procedurally generated city / highway, and shooting the other cars in the face. Cops may not like it though... (single-player / multi-player).

There will be as many weapons as I can imagine.

There will be Windows and Linux versions. If this campaign reaches 5,000 €, there will be a MacOSX version too.

If this campaign goes above 10,000 €, I will try to work with other professionals to obtain better sprites, sounds and musics, all made especially for this game.

Two years after the game is finished, it will be released as open-source free software (GPLv3+).

Risks and challenges

This is a low-budget indie game, which means I will work on it on my free time. Depending on what's going on in my life, I can either end up with extra time or have difficulties releasing on time.
However, I've already developed many pieces of software on my free time. Based on my experience, December 2018 is a realistic release date.
