A gaming machine that hides behind your TV, has out of this world performances and replaces all your boxes!
About this project
G-PACK IS REBOOTING!
Head over to our website now to follow and participate in the improvements we are bringing to G-Pack. This project is being rebooted!
Over the next few weeks we'll be running through design improvements, configurations tweaking and big cost-optimizations too. In order for this exercise to be a success, we need your help, feedback and input to refine what will be your perfect G-Pack.
This was our very first Kickstarter campaign and we're just better at building gaming machines than crowdfunding ... for the time being. It's been a hell of an experience and we think we have it better figured now, so bear with us, G-Pack is about to launch again!
The good news is that while this first funding was unsuccessful, we've received a huge endorsement from many, many people and are more determined than ever to bring you the best gaming machine to ever enter the living-room!
If you made a pledge, we are thanking you from the bottom of our heart, you have convinced us that this product deserves to be brought to market! If you wish the machine was slightly different, cheaper, faster, bigger, please go to piixl.com where we are gathering as much feedback as possible.

Risks and challenges
G-Pack is an extremely mature Kickstarter project, we've passed all pre-certification testing, our manufacturing and supply chain are already in place, so we'll be right back!

Yes! G-Pack fits any TV which diagonal display size is between 37″ and 70″, and some 32″ are compatible as well. Please check this topic again soon as we’ll upload more material to check if your TV fits with G-Pack! In terms of weight we tested it to over 400kg without even starting to bend our brackets, so we’re perfectly confident in recomending it for TVs up to 100kg in weight!!

When we say “inaudible”, we mean it! G-pack uses top specification, minimal noise fans that run at less than 30 db during normal operation, and emit a non-intrusive, “wooshing” sound when pushed at full load for a long period of time.

G-Pack works best with Windows but we’ve left the operating system open for the user to install. We did this because of many requests by people to be able to use copies that they already own or use lower editions (e.g. Win7). Our prototype uses Win8.1 with Steam Big Picture on start up so that we can have full control from a Microsoft gamepad.

Customisation and upgradability have always been an important consideration for G-Pack and for this reason you can expect support for virtually all GPUs, ITX motherboards and 4th Generation Intel Core processors, including Core i7 4790K.

The empty chassis comes with a USB 3.0 Hub and flash card reader. We’re selling the packages with PSU, Fans and Riser on our site which will be going live in the next couple days. The first is $99 for on-board graphics media machines, containing a 250w PSU and a Centrifugal fan. For $199 you get a 500w PSU, 3x Centrifugal fans and the PCI-E flexible riser. G-Pack was practically made around these parts because of their unchallenged performance and fit.

Although we're a UK company, we chose to have our chassis built by a top end manufacturer in Asia, and then integrated in the US and Europe. What this means is that, as for all electronics, the much higher international and intra-EU shipping cost are reflected in the cost difference between EU and US.

All current GPUs can be used in G-Pack provided they follow the standard dual-slot layout, as 99% of graphics cards do. We do not know of any card that is too long, the only limittion is the electrical consumption, which should not exceed 350 Watts peak value, so again pretty much any card on the market. One last bit: although top-dowm style, aftermaket GPU-coolers work, we recommend you stick to extractor designs founds on reference cards, especially Nvida's ones if at all possible. They offer excellent, quiet performance and will let you case run more efficiently.

Any Mini-ITX available on the market will work with G-Pack, except for Asus' ROG and Maximus ITX series that are fitted with vertical Mosfets daughterboards. For those who want to push / overclock their self-built machines, we recommend the Asus Z97I-Plus, and we'll soon offer a special part on our website to clear an interference between the motherboard's battery and our heatsink. This will in turn permit optimal heatpipes orientation and provide another 4 to 8 degrees cooler running temperatures at full load, providing the maximum overall performance achievable on G-Pack. This part comes as standard on all our (non-overclockable) complete configurations.
