About this project
"It’s a cool drawing style with cool coolness and a cool topping." - Shannon Wheeler, TMCM Creator, NY Times Cartoonist
"I love how each monster is so different from one another. I found myself excitedly flipping through the pages anticipating what was next. Each character has so much life and it's own story to tell. The colors are awesome! I can't wait till it's complete to get my very own signed copy."

Jeremy The Artist presents MONSTERS IN TIES
"Monsters in Ties" will be an 80+ page mixed illustration/sequential art book (full color, 8x10.5), featuring Jeremy The Artist's love of monsters influenced by his love for the men in suits and ties in Quentin Tarantino's films "Reservoir Dogs" & "Pulp Fiction". The monsters featured will include everyone from the Hollywood Wolfman to the Greek Manticore- mythological and folklore monsters from around the world!
If succesful, this would be my very FIRST graphic novel produced, helping me to realize a childhood dream of mine of being a published graphic novel artist.
Why monsters? Monsters have been something that I've loved to draw since I was little. I've been drawing since I was about 5 or 6, and always my drawings were of the "monster kind"- yes, there was a lot of dinosaur drawings as well, but a lot of my drawings were of monsters, like trolls and dragons (TONS of dragons).
Influenced by Tarantino? Why his films? Ever since I saw Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, they have become my favorite movies...ever. I love the style of his movies and his characters- this inspired a few monster prints a couple years back, the FIRST monsters in ties- and it was one of my more popular projects I've put out for the public and one of the funner projects I've done...so I decided to expand on it.
Explain a lil' more on the subject matter, please. There's a certain "reality" that Tarantino achieves with his characters, and I want that for my monsters. Dressing my monsters in suits and ties, for me, personifies them- it makes the monsters more a part of "our world" and, in doing so, I think the horror and sheer impact of each individual creature is visually stronger.

Risks and challenges
IF this project is fully funded, I will immediately place all orders for shirts, stickers, buttons, prints and start working on any/all caricatures, all orders placed within first week post Kickstarter!
**CURRENTLY WORKING ON BOOK** - I am aiming to finish the book by mid December- book price has already been quoted including the additional pages for Thank Yous- **The Thank You pages should be the only pages that need to completed upon the funding of this project and will be completed within 2-3 days post-Kickstarter.
All orders will be completed within first week of January- I have been told to give a month to a month and a half for the production of my book- I will see what I can do to speed up production but this would be the only delay I see in the near future (which is why any pledges including my book are set to be delivered by March at latest)
All caricature/thank you page drawings will be drawn in the first couple months- being these are all hand drawn, the delays I see in these would be my production speed and/or people giving me pictures to caricature from- I work as a caricaturist and average about 5-8 minutes at my slowest, so not too worried. Page drawings should take no longer than an hour per person. **PICTURES SHOULD BE GIVEN BY END OF FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY VIA EMAIL** As long as I'm given everyone's pictures who ordered a caricature within the aforementioned stated time frame of the pledges/a drawing for the thank you pages, should be no problems here.
Any/all other problems that may arise that I do not see at this time will be addressed accordingly and promptly- all backers will know THE MOMENT there is any other problems that may delay delivery.
This is a VERY personal project which I am dedicating to close family and friends...I appreciate any and all support for it and will dutifully do my part to make it as successful and rewarding to you as I find it myself.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
