Hi, my name is Jeremey and I’m recording my debut CD, Every Little Thing.
I’ve been writing and recording original music nearly my entire life, but like most artists, spent most of my life working on my talent and trade through various part time side projects and DIY ingenuity. The good part of that is that you learn an awful lot about what you are doing, and occasionally get the chance to work with some really gifted people. The bad part is, it doesn’t really pay anything.
In 2007 I finally had the opportunity to quit my corporate sales career and pursue music and performing full time - through a once in the lifetime offer to join the band Journey. For various reasons, the offer never panned out; however, through my association with the band and some writing we did on their platinum selling record Revelation, I was financially able to launch my music career full time. Over the past four years I’ve been touring the country performing the music of Journey, selling out concert halls and theaters - some of which have hosted the actual band Journey and their contemporaries. Bottom line - I’ve been more successful than I ever dreamed to be performing the music of other artists.
The only problem is, I still write and sing my own music. I’ve spent the past year now writing music specifically for my upcoming CD. It’s a year of my life that’s been one of the most tumultuous of my career, and it’s resulted in the best writing I’ve ever done. It’s really a reflection on this second half of my life that began in 2007, and it’s an honest look at who I really am as a singer and a writer and a person.
Due to some unexpected setbacks this summer, my personal funding for the CD was pretty much decimated. I wasn’t sure I could even release a quality recording until I heard about this place. I’ve never been one who was any good at asking for money, but the more I studied the idea the more I realized that this was a perfect way to bring my friends and fans into my intimate little project with some really great incentives.
The money from this campaign will go toward the mixing, mastering, and production of the physical CDs. If I exceed my goal of $4,000, I’ll be using that to promote the release on YouTube with some really cool video ideas I have.
The great part about this whole thing is that if you were already going to buy the CD, all you have to do is support me right here at the low entry point of a digital release. That’s it! You’ll get the music, and you’re still going to be able to hear all of the cool behind the scenes stuff.
Even better, though, is that with the different levels of funding, there’s some really great stuff that I’ll be putting up as rewards for your support. Things that are mine. That I’ll be giving to you. LOL...And at the end of it, again...we all get to share some really cool music.
