In the first of short stories series set in Deadwater, this shared landscape is not your typical Western town. The facades people wear as their masks are starting to crumble. Marisol lives with her father who makes a living taking pioneers over the deadly pass. Marisol lives to knit and dream but that all changes as a new family enters the town of Deadwater. She saves a live and falls in love with Her, all at once. And that's when the trouble began... Deadwater will soon be available for you to read while leaning against your favorite fence post or ponying up at the bar as a 28 page grayscale comic with a color cover.
A copy of the comic! That's it! All we want to do is make funny, smart, playful, sometimes disturbing or sinister comics for you guys! Kickstarter approached us about creating project for the All in One March theme and this comic was already 'locked and loaded.'
Anyone who back the project will also get a download code to read Deadwater digitally on comiXology!

The gritty undertones of his work whether in brilliant prismacolor or stark black and white are a site to behold. He's created several comic covers in his whimsical and modern style that lead to his eventual collaboration with...
Jen Vaughn is a cartoonist and narrative designer (Plants Vs Zombies: Heroes, Nicki Minaj: The Empire). You may have in fact backed some of her other comic collaborations on Kickstarter like The Secret Loves of Geek Girls, Lies Grown-Ups Told Me, Cartozia Tales, or A Minyen Yidn: Tales of Jewish Lives. This is her first of many comic collaborations with Cuzak so hold onto your butts!
A page of Deadwater.
The cost of the comic basically covers printing, postage, shipping materials and a bit for Kickstarter's take! If the print run becomes crazy cheap because every person, I MEAN EVERYONE, in North America buys one, then Cuzak and Jen get paid a bit of coin for their work too.
Risks and challenges
The comic is drawn and is being inked/toned, this is just your fancy form of a pre-order! We've already spoken to the local Seattle printer (where some of our friends work!) about the print run.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
