New Goals Unlocked, What Does “Limited Edition” Mean, XOXO & SHUX

Hello Edible Games Backers! What a glorious day it is today.

We’re now sitting at $86,585!!! WOW!

That means we’re rushing past the funding goal and we’ve unlocked two goals! These unlocks mean more goodies as a thank you for all your hard work helping me out with this campaign.

First Stretch Goal Unlocked

Since we passed by $85,000 we unlocked the eBook version for all digital backers and above. This means you’ll be able to use your tablet in the kitchen or lay it down flat to use as a mini board which you can play pieces on. Great for flexibility and travel!

Second Social Media Goal Unlocked

All hardcover backers and above will get a bronze oven mitt pin to wear on their apron, lapel or any other piece of clothing when they want the world to know they’re a Knight of the Oven Mitt.

Why am I running these social media goals? It may not seem like much when you like a tweet or post, but the algorithms mean that more people will see it because you liked it. So every like helps. Retweets and shares help even more. So the social media goals reward all your hard efforts spreading the word about edible games.

We’re at 10,302 points now and if we push harder, we might be able to unlock two pins for every backer! That means you AND your fellow Initiate Knight can have a pin each.

Follow @JennSandercock on Twitter and Edible Games on Facebook. Then get ready to hit “like” as often as possible! Even better, get started now: Like! Like! Like! Like! Like! Like!

Note about Limited Edition

As we near towards the end of this Kickstarter campaign, I just wanted to clarify what I mean when I say that this cookbook will be a “limited edition”.

It means I’m only going to put in one order of these cookbooks. They’re never going to be available for general purchase.

After the Kickstarter campaign is over, you’ll get access to Backerkit to manage your pledge. You’ll be able to upgrade, add extra cookbooks and a few other small add ons.

Once the book is ready for printing, I’ll tally up all the orders from Kickstarter and Backerkit backers and put in a single order. The books will be manufactured and shipped and then there won’t be any other way to get this first edition cookbook.

If things go crazy popular and someone offers me a deal I can’t refuse, then maybe one day I’ll do a second edition. But the second edition will never be the same as this first backer-only edition that you’re all getting.

Upcoming Events

I'm very excited to announce that I will be attending XOXO Festival in September in Portland this year. I got to show both Thimbleweed Park AND The Order of the Oven Mitt there at their last festival in 2016. It's an amazing space with a lot of inspirational people. Ticket sales have already been finalised, so if you're not going this year you should definitely check it out next year.

I'm also excited to be coming to Indie Ave at SHUX in October in Vancouver this year. The Shut Up & Sit Down people have been so wonderful to me since they heard about my edible games. Also, it seems that a lot of you lovely backers came at their recommendation. So I'm excited to have a little table on the Sunday for "High Tea Edible Games"!

At both events you'll be able to play at least one edible game and talk to me about progress or whatever you want!

Thanks Again

Thanks so much to each and every one of my 1,307 backers for believing in me and letting me create this book for you. I’m super excited to get started on making it.

In the meantime, every extra dollar and social media like helps me be able to get you a better cookbook. Bring on the last 3 days!
