UPDATE: I've reached my Kickstarter goal of $8,000, but I still need your help!
** Update #2! We've surpassed my first stretch goal of $12,000. Wow! Wow and whoa. I've set a second stretch goal of $15,000. Reaching this goal will allow me to make the album the best it can be!
* Update #1 This album will definitely be funded - incredible! Thank you! I am hopeful we can reach my first stretch goal of $12,000, which will cover most of the costs of the project. Your incredible outpouring of support brought us to the goal within the first three days of this campaign - let's see what we can do in the remaining 26!! Deepest thanks, x Jenna
I am beyond excited for this project.
This February, I'll be heading into the studio to record my debut album - a project that has been spinning about in my head over 17 inspiring years of fiddle lessons, joyful weeks at fiddle camps, late-night sessions, and four years of my degree studies at Berklee College of Music. Fueled by my passion for Roots Music, I've performed throughout North America, in France, Scotland, and as a soloist with the Boston Pops at Symphony Hall.
I have been surrounded by so much beauty and joy having music as the cornerstone in my life - from the thriving acoustic music community here in Boston, to new and unexpected friends met along the way. I'm so glad it's time to share some of that with all of you in this album.
I'll be spending four days in the studio with a cast of musicians whose work and talent I greatly admire. I'm honored to be working with Maeve Gilchrist, Mairi Chaimbeul, Darol Anger, Courtney Hartman & Owen Marshall. We'll be recording February 19-22, 2015 at Dimension Studios in Jamaica Plain, MA, with Dan Cardinal, who will be engineering and mixing the session.
I'm hoping to raise $8,000 through this Kickstarter campaign, but this project will cost around $12,000 in total to produce. All of the funds will go directly to all the production costs of the album, which include:
- Four days recording at Dimension Studios
- Producer & Musician's fees
- Printing & Duplication of the album
- Mixing & Mastering
- Album artwork & design
- Travel costs
- Kickstarter/Amazon fees
HOW DOES KICKSTARTER WORK?
Kickstarter is a crowd-funding platform - which means YOU get to be involved on a personal level with the creation of this project. EVERY donation counts. I am so grateful to each of you for being involved.
Your involvement & support is what will bring this project to life - I can't do it without you! I'm offering a slew of rewards in return for your donation. You can donate as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and can choose the reward at the equal or lesser donation level. If you've selected a reward that needs to be mailed to you, I'll be contacting you after the campaign closes with surveys to collect your addresses & any other pertinent information.
*If you want your selected reward (original tune or scarf) by Christmas, please email telling me just that by NOVEMBER 25 so I can have it ready for you in time!
THANK YOU...your support truly means the world to me.
Special thanks to Adrianna Ciccone for filming the video & to George Clements for recording the audio.

Risks and challenges
Kickstarter is an all or nothing platform. If I don't reach my goal of $8,000 by the end of the 30-day period, I won't receive ANY of the funds, your credit cards won't be charged, no rewards will be sent out, and this project won't get off the ground.
As a backer, you'll receive updates from me throughout the entire process. I'll share some sneak peeks into our days recording in the studio, first looks at the album design, and more!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
