One more update about Atom and I'm reporting to Kickstarter. I've already reported the Indiegogo Jelly campaign.

I canceled my subscription to KS jelly updates as I received way too many updates about the atom. I have been a backer for almost 200 projects and I have never seen the update system abused like that.

Since "Project Update #34" - i.e. since the last TEN project updates - we only got Atom advertisement. Please, Unihertz, do not abuse the Jelly KS page for constant advertising of your new project. There is the Atom KS page and the Atom e-mail list for this. By now we all know about the new phone.
I suggest that you post an update with news about Jelly, otherwise I consider the Jelly project is dead.
What about software updates, what about Android 8.1?
      What about the sources?
Why should I ever trust you again and back the Atom? The Atom seems to be a nice phone, but you should prove that you care for your customers.

Jelly has more than some flaws. The biggest ones are no working updates and no community support without open kernel sources... AND NO F****** ANSWER from Unihertz about this.

I won't go for Atom and I won't go for any other Unihertz product

I've actually only used my Jelly once. I bought it for running, and the GPS was so bad that I've never used it again. And why are they spamming us with messages about their new campaign here. If we cared we would have backed it already.

Battery life drain in one day, no matter how great are those features....For me, its useless!
Phone can last for 2 days, only if I put my Jelly phone unused.

the Jelly has some flaws, but which phone doesn't?
And a future product can have some improvements. Thats why I would love to have a new generation of Akku-type for the Jelly / Jelly Pro

Will there be a new generations of Akku-type for the Jelly Pro / Jelly with more capacity? With new technology it shall be possible to invent a new one with the same size for our Device (maybe)! I would love to buy one :-)

    12. kevin on June 6, 2018

IMO. The Jelly was and is a terrible phone.
Terrible battery life, miserable GPS (hardly ever works!), poor reception on WiFi, and many, many more problems.
      Nothing was ever fixed.
Why would anyone invest in ANY future products from Unihertz?
      Complete waste of money.

    13. Tor Hunemark on June 5, 2018

Hey Unihertz! When is the 8.1 update due? The android security patch in the current release is from January, so an update is getting pretty necessary.

So disappointed that the Super Early Birds for the Atom were gone even though I was searching constantly for it to open. Then as I was trying to find the Early bird option it was gone. Decided not to back it. I'll wait for your next phone - but hope you give prior supporters a bit more of a chance! Also, I like the lanyard option on the Jelly, notice it is missing on the Atom.

You told us in Jelly Update #37 that the launch time of Atom would be June 5th, 2018 at 8:00 "pm" "PST". Today, the reminder mail from you says 8:00 "am" "PDT". It's really confusing, let us know the real launch time of Atom.

I am aware that the Atom's storage capacity is 64gb, while the memory is 4gm. QUESTION, will the Atom's micro sd exp capacity be equal or more than the Jelly's micro sd exp capacity (256gb)?

I think that the main issue with Jelly / Jelly Pro is the missing of the proximity sensor.
Does Atom has the proximity sensor?

@Alex: I doubt the battery of the Atom would be the same size as the Jelly's. The Jelly has a 950mAh battery, the Atom is supposed to have 2000mAh. The Atom is also a bit thicker -- 18.75 mm VS the Jelly's 13 mm; one could venture that this is to accommodate a thicker battery.
Based on my recent experience with my Jelly, I would advise everyone who buy an Atom to also get a spare battery.

I mean, I can even find the battery on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Unihertz-Original-Replacement-Smallest-Smartphone/dp/B079N1LLJL), but it is marked as not being able to be shipped to Canada. I fail to understand the issue given that 90% of the Canadian population lives less than 3 hours drive from the US.

Found myself in an uncomfortable situation. Last week, I noticed that my Jelly was getting very hot while charging. Then, when disconnected, it would drain from the stand-by load (nothing unusual) but when hitting ~60% power left on battery, would drop to nothing. Plugging it back at that point would show the icon of a completely depleted battery.
I contacted Unihertz, who suggested taking the battery out of the phone overnight and testing again. This time, the going to zero happened at 75% change indicated.
It seems that I would therefore be in need of the warranty replacement battery, but Uniherz states that they can only ship batteries to Germany and USA (and I am in Canada...)
Not sure I understand the shipping restriction, but regardless, Unihertz sold Jelly everywhere on this planet; how are we non-Germany non-US based user going to be supported?

Sorry to post bad news but my Jelly was stolen from my vehicle. I've been using it as my android auto source for navigation and audio books. Worked great but now I need a new one. Should I try to get another Jelly or wait for the new Atom? Tough question. Any recommendations?
