The Shortsleeves want to put out their first cassette release--with your help!
✓ Original cassette goal, $1000
✓ STRETCH GOAL: Bring Nordloef to NYC, + $800
I’m a filmmaker (this is paul speaking). I’m a chef and community manager (jenn here now). In our spare time we like to make music together as The Shortsleeves (both of us were talking in unison that time). We call our music dream chip! Sometimes it makes you really happy when you listen to it. Other times it’s kind of sad.
We’ve played a bunch of shows with some of our musical heroes, toured around a little, and released a few singles here and there. It’s all been a dream come true and super fun, but it’s time to get SERIOUS!
We want to finally release all our old material (and a bunch of new stuff) as a full length album on the up-and-coming cassette format. Why cassette? They fit nicely in your pocket, that’s why.
But to make it happen we need some help! We want to have all our new songs nicely recorded, mixed, and mastered, then carefully placed onto cassettes one song at a time. That’s how that works, right?
There’ll be cool album art and packaging and all that. You'll spend like five minutes just flipping it over and looking at the album art while listening to the tunes come out of the tape player.
That all costs money though! Not much - we just need a little! And you’ll get cool rewards in return for backing us and making this album happen!
Then everyone’s happy and we can check off one more thing on our DREAM TO-DO LIST!

Risks and challenges
Delivery dates are subject to production limitations. We'll try to stick to the schedule but sometimes thing happen! We'll do our best to keep you informed of our progress and of any delays as soon as they arise. Also managing remixes and arranging parties are like herding very lovely, but troublesome cats.
All packages will be put into padded envelopes by hand and carted to the post office with a roll-y luggage. If for some act of internet niceness and we need to produce more than 500 cassettes --we'll jump up and down, but we'll also need to reconfigure our production and delivery tactics.
The picnic dates are subject to our availability this summer but we'll do our best to accommodate!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
