The idea behind GROUNDED is to show the world what is happening to America's Space Program and the effect the recent changes are having on the world of science and technology as well as the surrounding town of Titusville, Florida.
Most interviews have already been arranged and access to the Kennedy Space Center Press Site has already been approved. The launches of STS-133 and STS-134 will be filmed in September and November. Until that time, interviews have been scheduled with former astronauts and heads of NASA.
The production needs money to get back on it's feet since the previous producer left earlier this month. The money will be used to finally continue (and finish) production.
Once the film is completed, it will be submitted to the Cannes Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, and Sundance Film Festival next summer.
The film provided above is a 7 minute preview of what we have shot so far and serves as a trailer for the feature length documentary.
