Reclaimed America is a docuseries that centers around Justin & Jessica Beshearse, the owners of JB Designs, as they travel around the country and salvage materials from barns, homes and other historically significant sites. As JB Designs transforms the aged wood into original pieces, the story of the original settlers who help to build this country will be told in an exciting and heart-warming way.
Filming has already begun with the Chester Family Homestead in Kirksey, Ky. Their ancestor William A. Chester traveled from North Carolina to Kentucky after fighting in the War of 1812. After receiving a land grant he built a homestead with several barns. While one of these barns still stand today, the family fears that soon there will be nothing left of it.

The fundraising goal of $10,000, will allow JB Designs the ability to finish filming enough footage to complete their pilot episode. Rewards for money donated will include exclusive pieces made from the actual wood used in the series.

Risks and challenges
Making a docuseries takes a lot of work and has a unique set of challenges.
- Going through dozens of hours of filming JB Designs visiting the location of the barns and interviews with the Beshearse and Chester families.
- Tracking down and restoring photos that will tell the story of the wood being used in the projects
- Producing a complete series that will be ready to be aired on Television or an online streaming network
But we have teamed up with Silver Lining Productions, a locally based film production company that has experience in filming and editing projects of this magnitude. We believe that the story of our country needs to be told in this unique and exciting way.
