About this project
STORY
In a distant time period, an unknown anomaly is encountered deep within outer space. Earth is destroyed and the fate of the universe hangs in the balance by a hostile alien race. Can Zarien solve the riddle to the anomaly before it's too late? If the anomaly can be answered, where will it lead him?
Follow Zarien as he travels beyond space & time to a world beyond the 4 elements of life!
FUNDING
The funds being raised are for publishing, advertising, and creation purposes. As many already know, there is a vast field of publishers that exist in today's market. However, due to the volume of content, it is often difficult to find the right publisher.
This is the reason I have come to Kickstarter. Instead of waiting and hoping to find the right publisher to give me the green light on my novel, I thought that it would be a good idea to crowdfund this unique project that I had in mind. If and when funded, I plan to use the funds to self-publish my novel through CreateSpace.
Self-publishing through CreateSpace will provide the necessary tools that I need to get the novel into the hands of customers right away. Once the novel is completed, I would then be able to upload all of the necessary files through CreateSpace so that it would be available for purchase immediately.
Also, in order to reach out to consumers about the novel, I would use some of the funding to get the novel reviewed by certain publications. That way, readers that are interested in this genre can spread the word around and begin taking a look at the novel if/when they decide to purchase.
Risks and challenges
If funded, I am confident that I will be able to successfully complete the entire novel by the summer of 2016. Most of the story & general outline of the plot is complete... I just need additional time & funding in order to finish writing, editing, and publishing the novel.
One thing that I want everyone to know is that this will NOT be an epic novel in scope. In other words, I plan on making the novel to be around 150 pages in length. I do NOT see the need to extend the novel beyond this length as I always try to simplify my work. Although I love to write, I enjoy my stories to be short & sweet.
