THE STORY
Jupiter Jet is the story of Jacqueline “Jacky” Johnson, a sixteen-year-old girl who rides the sky on an experimental jetpack that she discovered in her dead father’s workshop and she does what any other teenage girl would do. Steal from the rich and give to the poor while keeping her neighborhood safe! Plus she'll be facing ray guns, robots and men with glowing eyes!

As the mysterious flying girl, Jacky has been stealing money from the mob for weeks to provide for her little brother, pay their rent and help support the people of their neighborhood, Olympic Heights.
After one of her heists, Jacky discovers that she has accidentally stolen an experimental device from the mob. A device very similar to the power source of her jetpack. Now, she’ll have to avoid the mob, the corrupt police and a mysterious man named Pluto Patriarch to keep her brother safe. Jacky’s world is about the be cracked wide open in Jupiter Jet!

THE COMIC
This comic was created after Robinson came up with the title and Inman came up with the series twist ending (Ah! Ah! Ah! We’re not giving that away here!), as the kind of comic story they both would have liked to read in comics growing up. Matsuya came onto the project as a fan, initially, and has brought the cast and crew to life in stunning lines. The melding of an all-ages period piece and a science fiction story was a tale that Inman and Robinson have been dying to create!
But did you know? The first issue of Jupiter Jet is already COMPLETE! Story, art, colors, letters and adventure are on the page and ready to go! We are looking to fund the production costs associated with making issues #2 - #5 so we can get them to you As Soon As Possible! But since this book is 100% creator-owned, there's no publisher's financing. Our Kickstarter goal is enough to bridge the gap! So if you enjoyed our past work (Red Shirt Diaries, IF Anthology), support creator-owned comics, and want to see JUPITER JET become a reality, we have some great rewards for you. And remember: you're only charged if we make our funding goal.
Now check out some pages...

WHERE THE FUNDS WILL GO

Money earned will go to covering fees, production, postage, and printing of the collection. The writers aren't even being paid for this book. All Kickstarter funds are to support our artist, colorist, letterer and more! Any leftover money will be used to pay for new artwork that will be used in the series...maybe some back-ups by other creators? Variant covers? All money will go back into the book, period. The first goal of this campaign is to give our readers a high-quality product.
Look, more art!

Risks and challenges
All of the creators involved in this project are professionals with years of experience and excellent records in making tough deadlines. Even better -- the first issue has already been written and drawn! All that remains is to finish issues 2-5 and to prepare it for actual physical printing. Of course, unavoidable personal mishaps, acts of God, global disruption, or alien invasions could throw us off schedule, and we will keep Kickstarter backers updated if we do encounter any delays.
