The Hungriest Zombie is a 24 page comic book that tells a humorous story about a zombie named Ed who is cursed to wander mindlessly in search of the warm, meaty flesh of humans, after a severe case of gingivitis destroyed all of his teeth before his transformation. Without his teeth to tear through skin, Ed is merely half the zombie he could be. The tale follows Ed as he shambles his way through the streets of his post-apocalyptic hometown Morristown, Tennessee on the hunt for something, or someone, to cure his insatiable undead hunger. The comic is done in a "grainy" black and white style, paying homage to George A. Romero's classic "Night of The Living Dead".
Jason Thacker is a writer from Pikeville, Kentucky. The Hungriest Zombie was his first published short story in the zombie anthology First Time Dead 2 by May December Publications in 2010. His first full-length novel Dead Are Alive was published in June, 2012. He has since released a collection of short stories titled King and Other Chilling Tales, published by HodgePodge Press in 2014.
Jason Notter is a native Alaskan artist with a passion for visual art. He spent most of his youth in creative mode, even during math class, much to his teacher’s dismay. He studied artistic impressions in every facet of his life, including multiple trips abroad to immerse himself in the artwork of the European masters. Before a stint in the United States Air Force, he freelanced under the business name Artist Lost - creating portraits, landscapes, and book covers for Indie authors. He held steadfast to his creative edge and when he received his honorable discharge from the USAF, he returned to Soldotna, Alaska, with his wife and opened JNLCreative. His present resume of clientele covers a broad spectrum from small town fairs to Warner Bros. He also holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in both Multimedia and Fine Arts.
