The first iPad screen protector to make drawing and writing feel like paper.
Now even better.
You probably like your iPad very much. It's an amazing device for note taking, drawing or just binging on Netflix. But one thing always bugged us: writing on it feels kind of like plastic on glass. It's awkward, tiring and the result is usually sloppy.
That's why, two years ago, we developed the original Paperlike screen protector and Kickstarter helped us make it come to life.
Since then over 10.000 digital Artists, Sketchers, Notetakers and Business Professionals, all around the world, used their Paperlike constantly.
And they had feedback.
And we listened.
One thing came up again and again: The paper feel is great, the precision is great but the quality of the screen became too grainy. There was too much refraction going on.
So we went back to the drawing board, tinkered and experimented and today, we're super proud to present to you ...
The new Paperlike with Nanodots® Surface Technology
More paper-feel, less display noise.
The key ingredient for the new Paperlike is the new Surface Technology "Nanodots®". We called it that for a very simple reason: because we've basically sprinkled tiny dots across the screen protector's foil. These dots don't disturb the light as much, thus you get a rougher screen with less refraction.
The Paperlike is made for Artists, for Notetakers, for Creatives. It's made for Makers and Doers like you.
Artists all around the world love the Paperlike for the improved precision and tactile feel. We optimized the ideal amount of friction for long drawing sessions and the right stroke resistance for optimal accuracy.
The iPad is an amazing device for taking notes and for going paperless. But something's not quite right. The slippery feel of the plastic pencil tip on glass makes writing imprecise and tiring.
The Paperlike helps you combine all the advantages of a digital device while keeping the nice tactile feel of paper.
Make sure you're ready for endless meeting notes or the scribble for your next big idea!
After you're done with all that making and doing, you might want to enjoy your iPad in a say "less productive way". Since the new Paperlike is made for superior display quality, nothing stands in the way of you and some relaxing hours of Netflix or Youtube. And you know what's best? The matte and glare resistant finish of the Paperlike even allows you to enjoy your screen time sitting in the sun. (Please apply sun screen where necessary, the Paperlike does not fix that. Yet.)
Today, Paperlike is more than just Jan. He still has his fingers in every aspect of it, but we have an amazing team to support him and make all of this possible.
So, what are you waiting for? Back us on Kickstarter and help make the new Paperlike® with Nanodots® technology come to life!

Risks and challenges
Manufacturing and quality control:
We're working with an experienced manufacturer for the Paperlike 2, and they have consistently manufactured our prototypes with the right surface condition and material. We don't expect any risk there.
The complexity of the distribution depends strongly on how successful this campaign becomes. Jan has experience in managing Kickstarter campaigns, and this hasn't been an issue yet. Also we've been working on Paperlike since 2017 and have built processes so that each ordered Paperlike reaches its destination, no matter where in the world.
If you are a regular Kickstarter user, you will know the risks that we face when launching a crowdfunding project. The most common one is dealing with unforeseeable situations and unforeseeable problems. Which we can’t list here due to the mere nature of these and the vast amount of improbable things that might happen and the ones that will end up happening. Herewith we pledge that we will tackle any problem with our best energy and competence. We have a team of experienced problem-solvers who will get this project through any hiccup, and you'll take part in this adventure by receiving regular updates.
