About this project
Little Free Library is on a mission—join us!
"It all started in Wisconsin. Todd Bol wanted to honor his late mother and her love for books, so he decided to build a little library in her name..."
Our goal is to build mini libraries and place them in parks and communities around Central Florida to promote literacy and bring neighbors together through a shared love of books.
The way it works is very simple: unlike traditional libraries, visitors don’t need a library card. Instead, they pick up a book they want, with the expectation that they’ll return it or contribute their own to keep it stocked. To make the exchange even more personal, contributors are also encouraged to write a little note on the inside cover explaining the reason why the book was given to the library.
The LFL offers a way to freely exchange favorite books from your childhood or books you would recommend to friends— books that teach, intrigue, and engage you. The library belongs to everybody: neighbors, friends, and people we don’t even know yet. Anyone can use it. That is why we all take care of it.

Our goal must be reached by September 3rd!Want to help? This is what you need to do:
- Go to the green box on the top right, click on the "Back This Project" box, enter your pledge* amount and select a reward. From there, you go through the Amazon checkout process, and you are done.
- Share the link with as many people as you can. If possible, personally contact 10 of them, and get them involved.
- Send a link of our KICKSTARTER PROJECT to any editors or bloggers you think would be interested in helping us.
If this project is successfully funded, your card will be charged the amount you pledged when the project reaches its deadline (September 3rd). If the project does not reach its funding goal, your card will not be charged. That's why they are called pledges (a promise to donate) not donations.
