For 25 years the Jam Room Recording Studio has contributed to and influenced the Columbia music scene. From gospel to rock, from hip hop to punk, the studio has recorded thousands of local, regional, and national artists. The Jam Room has sponsored hundreds of musical events and participated in the production of festivals such as St. Patrick’s Day and Vista Lights. The studio is a Columbia institution that brings a unique perspective on the arts.
The money raised through your sponsorship of this project will go towards the LP first. Any funds above and beyond the production and distribution of the album will go towards the inaugural Jam Room Music Festival on October 13th.
The Jam Room Music Festival will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the recording studio, and Columbia’s rich musical heritage by highlighting artists and music from Columbia, SC and beyond. The non-profit, free festival will include two stages with 9 bands, in the heart of downtown Columbia. The show will feature local and regional acts like Say Brother, B.O.A. and Dead Confederate, as well as national acts The Hold Steady and Justin Townes Earle.
