We will be relaunching our new campaign at...
If you are already a backer look out for updates from us with our new campaign details.
A huge thank you to everyone that's supported us so far, we are not giving up on this movie and neither should you!
Cannibals & Carpet Fitters tells the story of a group of carpet fitters who are sent on a job to an old Country house in the middle of nowhere.
However they soon discover it's a trap set up by the savage, cannibalistic family, The Hannings. The carpet fitters are forced to fight for their lives or risk ending up being the evenings dinner. Unfortunately they are not quite your typical heroes!
Cannibals & Carpet Fitters is an action packed horror/comedy feature film based on our award winning short film of the same name that we made a couple of years ago. Our plan was always to make the feature film, with the script being written at the same time as the short. This was our way of giving people a little taste of what we want to bring to the feature film. Of course we was only able to hint at a lot of the things we have planned due to it's tight budget and time. So for the feature you can expect more cannibals, more carpet fitters, more laughs and of course more gore! Below is the short film for you to check out if you've got a bit of spare time (19 minutes to be exact - perfect lunchtime entertainment).
We’ve been fans of horror movies pretty much all our lives, especially the tone and feel set by the films of the 80s. We've always enjoyed the stories where the horror merges with other genres, for example like action or comedy. Films like Evil Dead 2, Shaun of the Dead, Dog Soldiers and the Cottage. And Cannibals & Carpet Fitters will fit right in. Plus we’ve all seen enough zombies/vampires/possessed people too. It’s time for something a little different. It’s time for the cannibals!
We want to create something that will take you guys on a ride that you will will want to experience again, not just relying on a trick or scare that once seen leaves little to return to. There’s going to be moments of humour that are abruptly interrupted by violence, and vice versa. Where the audience are awaiting the next horrific moment but at the same time can’t help breaking into a smile. It’s a film where we want the audience to root for our carpet fitters (ordinary people, not heroes) but also fear for them, unsure who will survive. Trust us the feature has a healthy body count!
It’s going to be exciting, it’s going to be unique, and it will be an awesome feat of entertainment that will have a massive appeal to all the horror and comedy fans out there! But this is where we need your help!

We've been lucky enough to already have some money in the bank to get the ball rolling on 'Cannibals and Carpet Fitters: the movie'. And as you can see we have some amazing talent involved. But here's the catch. To make the film we know you guys really wants to see without cutting corners, we need your help.
If we hit our minimum goal of 50K we would have enough to secure our cast and crew, plus some great locations such as our Cannibals home, a large country house like in the short, just a lot BIGGER! We would also return to Nottingham in the UK to film in the large tunnel network, which we've only touched upon in the short. Not forgetting the make-up and Special FX we will be using this time around.
There's even more gore than before!
Your donation will also help in covering transport and accommodation costs, along with allowing us to get our hands on the best possible kit we can to shoot the film on. If we are successful we anticipate shooting this Autumn, with a completion date spring 2017.
Of course we really would love to go past our minimum, as anything over 50k would really give us the freedom to add in even more action, gore, scares and hilarious gags. Plus it would help towards the cost of building some well needed sets, post production, film promotion and more!
Remember this is a kickstarter campaign so it's all or nothing, which is why we really need you to make a donation and hit our target! Pledges will only be collected if our campaign is successful and once finished.
As a thank you for your donations we've thought long and hard to create a collection of exclusive perks, from signed scripts, Blurays & DVDs, to invitations to the film screening and even the opportunity to appear in the film or come on board as a producer! There are plenty of different perks available so please do check them out and get involved. Plus every backer will be kept updated with exclusive behind the scenes photos & videos plus news on how we're doing.
Don't worry if you can't donate - you can still help us by spreading the word and sharing our campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, forums and blogs etc. Every little helps and is much appreciated.
If you like what you see and want to know more then follow the project via our social pages below where you can connect with the team, join discussions and keep up to date all the latest news from the movie first!
And if you have any more questions or suggestions please feel free to get in touch with us at email@example.com or via our Facebook page. Please also help in promoting the film by using the hashtag #CACF.
From all of us on The Cannibals and Carpet Fitters team, thank you for checking out our campaign... now let's make some movie magic!
Risks and challenges
Every film has its risks and challenges, for example we could lose cast and crew due to time constraints or they get better gigs, this is the movie business after all. This is British film as well so bad weather could potentially push back when we want to shoot our outdoors scenes.
Yes film-making is EXTREMELY HIGH RISK but we have assembled a brilliant team with years of experience between them. We're aiming for something exceptional here and are incredibly passionate about achieving our goal. We know what it takes to make a film and more importantly we know how to do it with limited resources. Over the past few years we have made a number of films on limited budgets finished to a high level (some of which you can check out above).
Some of the rewards we have provided have an estimated delivery date, this will only be once the film is completed, for example if we get an amazing distribution deal we can only release our perks around that distribution date, which is no longer down to us.
But hey... don't be afraid! Unlike most independent, unheard of feature films, we tested the waters with our short film first, which you can watch above. The short film did extremely well in the UK and the US so we know we have a winning formula. A lot of our feedback was, "this should be a feature film!". So now that's exactly what we are doing. If you like what you see in the short then you are backing the right project as we promise to deliver a true, cult comedy horror, classic no matter the odds.
Its been nearly 3 years now, from first drafting a feature script, to then producing the short film and now finally a feature film, so it would be a shame to stop now. We know what we can deliver and can't wait for the day we can all just sit down and watch "Cannibals & Carpet Fitters" the movie. Thanks to you guys!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
