Antler Boy hits $44K - Special $44 Tier Created

Those of you who have known me for a while know that the number 44 has special significance to me.* So in honor of that I'm opening up a special $44 pledge amount. On top of getting a signed Antler Boy book you'll also receive one of a limited number of copies of my Agent 44 Art Digest. I'll draw a sketch in it like these.

There's only 10 of these books available! I really only have 12 to my name and I'm not going back to the printer for these books because I don't think I can find the files anywhere. The last two I'm saving for posterity. (Actually there's a box of these books in a landfill in Connecticut somewhere. And that's a story for another day).

What's in the Agent44 Art Digest?

This is the first appearance of Lucy Nova and there's the original first story of her in this book, along with some development art of the character and her world. The rest of it is sketches and drawings.

* It was my basket ball and softball jersey number since Jr High and it was the number designated to a secret agent character I created in high school, upon which I based my bulletin board nickname on a decade ago, and subsequently bought the domain to host my online portfolio. phew, mouthful.

I'm with Sephano - I would have had to decrease my pledge to score one of these!

Well, for starters, don't lose your art.. That way you can print more books and more people can buy them. Other than that, how about taking high-res photos of the book and providing a downloadable PDF for us higher pledgers.. I mean, I could've bought Spacecave One anytime for $20, but to miss out on Agent 44 a one off, out of print, collector's book for a mere four bucks!? That's just cruel and unusual punishment. Would've been better to sell them for $444 as Lewis suggested. Then I wouldn't feel so much like crying for having had missed the opportunity..

You should have made it $444 :)

Yeah, this pretty much caught me by surprise. Sorry Stefano. Any ideas on how I could do something like this better in the future?

Pretty upset that I originally pledged well over $44 and didn't even have a fighting chance of getting this limited edition book.. And they won't be available again? Not cool. Not really happy with Mr.Parker right now. Would appreciate at least being given the chance to throw more money at him..
