In BearBound you are a bear whose den was blown away by a winter storm and you must wander the landscape to find a way to survive.
The game is a humorous exploration game where you must run from den to den to avoid the oncoming winter storms. Get caught in the open and you lose a life.
Its quirky, simple gameplay, wonderful artwork, and healthy dose of oddball humor made it an instant hit with hundreds of thousands of players. And with your help it is coming to Mobile with a pretty hefty upgrade in the content department.
The original game was made in 72 hours during the second Newgrounds Game Jam. It was one of the most popular games released that month and was even honored by being included in the yearly history recap that Newgrounds puts out.
I finally have the ability to bring this game to mobile devices and give it the upgrade it deserves, but I need your help. Making a game takes time and money. While I have time I don't have the money needed to make ends meet while I work to complete the game.
I need your help to get the equipment I need to make the game and test it on a plethora of devices. iPad, iPod, iPhone, Android phones, Android tablets, Nook, Kindle Fire, and more... the list is a long one.
I have an engine working and I have tons of ideas for the game, but why should I have all the fun? Since the game was such a hit with fans I thought I would give YOU the opportunity to be a part of the game and follow along with its development. I will give you updates and you can give me feedback and input along the way.
The original game stays in the winter environment mainly because the game was made so quickly and the game jam theme was "A World Frozen Over". The new game has an over-world map that allows the world to be much larger and go to many different environments.
I hope that you will try BearBound and see the potential that it has and help me by pre-ordering the game through this Kickstarter campaign.

Risks and challenges
The biggest challenge I face is finding the time to work on the project. Funding through your support will help to keep the production of the game moving along and help remove the stoppages that happen when I have to take a client in my web design business to make ends meet.
