You were born a fairy, you were raised a princess, and you are just so pretty. Go out and make the world a better place!
Pretty Fairy Princesses is a rules-light role-playing game where those three descriptors are your core statistics. Pretty represents your self-confidence, charisma, and energy. Fairy represents the strength of your supernatural heritage. Princess represents your emotional thoughtfulness.
The Core Mechanic
Pretty Fairy Princesses uses a poker deck for its action resolutions. When taking an action, a player has a number of chances to reveal a specific type of card. The number of chances is based on the number assigned to the appropriate core stat. The type of card needed is based on a descriptor assigned to the appropriate skill.
So let's say Princess Rainbowgallop wants to make a gift for Dr. Turtle (a scrapbooking action). Rainbowgallop has a 2 in the Princess stat and a Hearts in the scrapbooking skill. The player has two chances to find a card with the hearts suit in order to succeed.
There's a bit of cooperative communication thrown in, but that's the core. If you'd like to check out the system in depth right now, just click right here!

What You Get
This is a bit of a pay-what-you-want campaign. Everyone that backs this project for at least $1 will receive a finalized PDF for Pretty Fairy Princesses. This will include the full system, an introductory adventure, and a few pieces of art. The quality of the design and art will depend on the final funding achieved by this campaign.
PRETTY ($1): You get the PDF and my thanks for your support.
FAIRY ($3): You get everything above AND your fairy princess name will be included in a special thanks & fairy princess name generating section of the game. Fairy princess names are subject to approval and a submission deadline.
PRINCESS ($10): You get everything above AND your fairy princess name will be included in the game itself as part of an example. Spaces for this tier are limited and fairy princess names are subject to approval and a submission deadline.
All the text is done and a variety of free-for-commercial-use art (including what you can see here) has already been collected. The whole project is just a few edits and a clean design away from completed. Depending on the success of this campaign, a couple art commissions and a paid design layout may be an option, but I already know who to go to for those.
As soon as the campaign is complete, I will share the most up to date draft with all backers so you can run the game immediately. The final PDF will likely be ready within 4-6 weeks.

Risks and challenges
The text is done. It just needs a little tender loving care from a design standpoint. The largest post-campaign commitment is the writing and designing for the special thanks section. In the event of something catastrophic, you'll already have a draft of the game which is fully playable.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
