It's more than just two guys making iWinks happen, and we're excited to introduce the lead mobile developer, Danny Anderson. We’ve talked a little about how we plan on supporting Android, iOS, Mac and Windows machines - watch the video below for a quick demo of the Android app collecting data!

With his passion for developing apps using novel sensors, Danny (MSc from UCSD) was perfect to develop the Aurora's mobile app. With Santosh Gupta’s assistance, he’s already hammered out a concept app which connects to the Aurora using Bluetooth 4 to receive EEG data. Just after the video was made they’ve also worked out LED control too.

Additionally, the code has also already been written to support the Aurora's Bluetooth 4 connection on Mac OS X and Windows desktops. We’re really happy to have such talented people on our team!

      Hi Hoa,

We intend for our public SDKs to be open source, and will consider merging high-quality pull requests from the community. As detailed in a prior update, we will have an SDK available for Android development, which will handle many of the trickier aspects of coding for the Aurora, so that you can create amazing apps quickly!

      Thanks for your question,
      Danny Anderson

Are there any plans of creating an open source API library for Android developers to contribute to the project?
