How We Started
We love music festivals but let's face it - they have their problems. No one wants to deal with theft, long water lines, or being stuck with the same generic bag at a multi-day festival.
That's why we decided to build the bag that solves every one of these problems, and then some. We started from scratch and invented the only bag that meets all your music festival needs.
Creator's Note: In our pursuit of the ultimate festival bag, we accidentally created an amazingly dynamic international daypack - for your trips to the top of Machu Pichu, to La Rambla in Barcelona, and wherever you may go. For the athletes - whether you're a biker, a runner, or a hiker...our extremely lightweight packs give you the space for everything you'll need while you chase your final result...
So....without further ado...

The Lunchbox Vision:
Meet The Lunchbox Founder:
Tom Worcester, 23, is a successful serial entrepreneur with an impressive track record. By the age of 14, Tom started his first business (online graphic design store). At 20 he founded his first company called Loopey Laces, which scaled to over 100 college campuses and 25 stores across the United States. Aside from Lunchbox, Tom currently co-hosts the podcast, ‘Subject Matter’, which teaches its’ audience the core principles of critical thinking.
Tom has always been obsessed with building things from the ground up. At a very young age, Tom experienced medical complications which left him with significant hearing loss. Since he could never fully rely on his hearing, Tom was forced to develop innovative ways to keep up with his peers and acquire information. Ironically, his inability to hear became his biggest strength. Not only did it force him to read, study, and experiment obsessively, but it trained him to actively seek the answers to the most fundamental of questions. The skill set he needed to keep up with his peers as a child now manifests itself through product building as he strives to find the most informed solutions to problems that matter.
Meet The Lunchbox Team:
Key Collaboration Partners:
As much as we’re proud of the formation of Lunchbox, this Kickstarter would not be possible without a few extremely key players & advisors:
David Abrutyn (Bruin Sport Capital) - for your many hours of advice, investment, and consideration for the growth of the Lunchbox business.
Nate Checketts (Rhone) - for challenging us to “think bigger”, which inspired us to attack problems we didn’t originally intend to defeat. Thank you for pushing us.
Adrian Solgaard (Solgaard Design) - for taking an interest in a fellow kickstarter project and passing advice from the millions of successful Kickstarters run. Thanks for steering us in the right direction.
Daniel Fine (What’s NEU) - for providing an eye at a critical turning point of Lunchbox, giving it the ability to pivot into a beautiful product that understood its market. Thanks for being generous with your time at a pivotal point.
Pete Kalamoutsos (Club Glow, Echostage) - for generously offering the best venue on the East Coast, Echostage, for our filming, and being an entrepreneurial inspiration in a place filled with politics, finance, and different worlds. Thanks for being there when we most needed it.
Carson Finkle (10th Street Hats / Birksun) - for being the light behind Lunchbox at its most formative point, for being selfless without boundary, and for believing in this project since Day ONE. Carson, thank you for your generosity, your kindness, and your unflappable loyalty. We'll never forget it.
Risks and challenges
This is our first Kickstarter campaign, and (luckily) the first time this incredible team has come together. With an advisory board consisting of top founders in the United States, supply chain control from the team that brought bag lines for brands like Burton to life, and a operations team that already has processed order and delivery for tens of thousands of products, we're confident that we've got this.
Supply chain risks: Low. We're already working with manufacturing partners trusted by the world's top brands. Our factory works with house-hold name brands from ski&snowboard + outdoor goods.
Shipping risks: Low. We have allowed some flex room in our time schedule for a few weeks delays due to customs - as this sometimes occur when a new product comes into the country - so we are prepared to meet these conservative deadlines. Our deadlines have two-weeks automatically added to each assumed ship date - we'll look to beat them.
Sample Edits - We may change a feature or two on the final version. These changes would be as major as a different fit of the straps to be more ergonomic in order to be a better fit, and will only improve the Lunchbox. No major changes will be made.
Unforeseen risks: No matter the challenge, we'll figure it out together. There is nothing that can prevent the drive and hustle of this Lunchbox team figuring out any snags along the way. With our factory relationships already together, negotiations complete, our shipping routes planned, our purchase orders intact, and an operations team in place to handle any issues, we're confident that we can fully deliver on our Kickstarter promises. We take our backer support and communication very seriously and we will keep you in the loop with whatever is going on.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
