Perceptions of the Dead 2 is a light horror/ comedy visual novel.
In 2011, Tyrone left home to pursue a life as an Acolyte, a Paranormal Problem Solver. Since then he has fought horrors and saved both lives and unlives.
Today, he's missing.
In October of 2017, Jill Count held an IRL streaming event from within the haunted hospital of Saint Heart. The events there left her forever changed, and able, now, to see ghosts.
Haunted by the ghost of a young man she met there, Jill travels to find Tyrone, hoping he can help her.
Finding him missing, she is quickly roped into helping save him.
Little does she know what she is actually walking into.
Perceptions of the Dead 2 is the continuation of the stories that began in 'The Phantom Ice Cream Truck' and were eventually compiled in the collection Perceptions of the Dead, which is available for free on Steam.
Perceptions of the Dead 2 is intended to be a single story with a length roughly equal to that of the other three short stories in the series combined. It is intended to once again be fully voiced with many of the original voice actors reprising their roles.
Joining us again are the awesome and talented: Jill Harris, Alex Weber and Joshua Putnam to name a few.
Working on the extended sound track is the wonderful and talented Johnathan Johnson, with the potential of Caelem adding some music as well!
Perceptions of the Dead 2 is a visual novel created using the Ren'Py engine.
A visual novel is an interactive game genre, which originated in Japan in the early 1990s, featuring mostly static graphics, most often using anime-style art or occasionally live-action stills (and sometimes video footage). As the name might suggest, they resemble mixed-media novels. - Wikipedia
Perceptions of the Dead 2 will contain a number of choices throughout the game which will impact the story in small to moderate ways.

Risks and challenges
We believe that Perceptions of the Dead 2 is our lowest risk project we have ever kick started. A large part of the new art is done, and the new story is already written.
We have extensive experience with other Visual Novels, including two which we completed with the help of Kickstarter, and four games completed total.
The current development plans are to finalize the script and send it out to voice actors following the completion of the kickstarter. The funds for the kickstarter are planned to be used to cover basic production costs, though primarily to fund the voice acting.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
