The Sub Terra App

ITB’s tech wizard Dan Ahern is hard at work on the Sub Terra app which will be ready later this year. Due to Apple’s publishing criteria the IOS version is undergoing a fairly large overhaul, while the Android version is also being updated to be in line with the IOS. On top of this, new features are being added, and current features are being reworked, including

  • Media player function for the Sub Terra immersive soundtrack.
  • More efficient character selection
  • Ability to input player names if desired
  • Turn-based system that allows players to keep track of their own individual health and action points, as well as view their abilities at any time
  • In-game hazard sound effects
  • Randomly generated hazard deck, with animations
  • Instant access to the FAQ
  • Endgame score calculation
  • Directly feed sessions into your session log

When the session companion is finished the app will be updated on Android, and resubmitted to the IOS App Store. In addition, due to multiple requests, the app will be added to the Amazon Store, and published on our website for web access. If there are any platforms you'd like that I'm unaware of, please let us know. Dan can be reached on tech@itbboardgames for questions and feedback!

Subito Terra

A variant version of Sun Terra’s original rules is now available to all ITB fans. The alternative rules, designed by original designer Tim Pinder, is designed for small numbers of players wanting a faster and lighter version of the base game. The rules are compatible with the Sub Terra base game and are available here!

Contacting us for suppport

A number of customers have requested information on product shipping or replacement parts. While we are doing our best to address all feedback given we would like to remind you that the best method of contacting us directly is by emailing communications@itbboardgames.com, where your request will be addressed as soon as possible. Due to the not-very-brilliant way Kickstarter has implemented comments and messages, some feedback through the platform is getting missed and not being seen by us.

For any questions, feedback, or to get additional information on anything Sub Terra or ITB related please contact Tom on communications@itbboardgames.com

Happy caving!

Correction, 12 days ago (will be two weeks on Wednesday). Still seems like snail mail.

Yeah - I sent them an email two weeks ago today to their recommended email address and received zero response. Not believing that Kickstarter was the problem with their communications.

I still haven't get my game! I send the mail to communications@itbboardgames.com to ask but no response!

Awesome, that app was pretty rudimentary when I used it last, good to hear an upgrade coming.

Gee, that's nice, but what about the status of lighter replacement tiles? You know, ones we can see without a floodlight so some of us can actually play the game?

I was in contact with Paul Spencer at ITB about a number of missing items from my pledge and a damaged Development Diaries book. He told me that he would arrange for replacements to be sent out. When I responded to say thanks and ask if there would be tracking information for the shipment, I received this automated response:
"Please be aware that this email address is no longer in use. Your email has automatically been forwarded to Tom Ana at communications@itbboardgames.com."

That was 12 days ago and I haven't heard anything since. The automated response came through on the same day that Paul told me he would send replacements. That's not very reassuring.

The more I interact with ITB and see the way they are conducting business, the less confident I am that supporting their projects is a good idea. Lately all of the news is about apps and customer reward programs, when it seems like the focus should be on getting games and replacements into the hands of the people who made any of this possible.

Peter used to do live streams and video updates, but he seems to have disappeared as the face of the company. What happened to the passion for this project and the dedication to backers that was promised during the campaign?

what about the replacement of parts for everyone as per the issues at time of original deliveries

I too have sent emails about damaged components. 3 to be exact, and no response to any of them. Don't blame Kickstarter for your poor communication.

I have already sent an email about missing KS items to the email suggested (communications@itb) and to all other ITB email addresses for that matter, and i have yet to receive a response. So i suspect that the KS comment system is not the problem here....

Scott I suspect that not wanting their awful response times and plethora of issues put on display for all to see on KS, Facebook and other public platforms has something to do with requesting email.

What do I contact if I never received a copy of the game? I checked updates today so I know it's been awhile so I should definitely have it by now

There is nothing wrong with KS's comment and PM system. I am able to keep up with it across multiple projects.
