Done, and Delighted.
Since the incredible news that this campaign was funded two days ago, I've been thinking a lot about what I've been gifted from this process, not just in terms of funding, but more in terms of... well, everything else. Initially so uneasy with the idea of asking others to see something of value in my music, I've experienced such a great, warm-hearted response to this that - in transactional terms - even an unfunded project would have given me rewards way beyond what I ever would have expected. The old way of financing projects might have involved bankers or some other traditional means of raising capital. But the endearing human-ness of telling an honest story, presenting a project born of passion and then having almost two hundred people see something of value in it and, out of some mysterious motive (like the music? have confidence in me? simply supportive?) are joyfully willing to be a part of the creation of new art - it's just amazing. Crowdfunding... incredible! Who knew?
Thank you again for all of your support, and I will be sure to keep you posted as things progress. In the meantime, I’ll be collecting addresses and sending out survey questions this week regarding your richly deserved rewards.
