Hello my name is David. I've created a unique Aquarium. My goal is to make this Aquarium available to the world.
If this Kickstarter project is fully funded, it will allow me to place a volume order with the local manufacturer, making it possible to offer each unit at an affordable price.
Let's meet the Isis Aquarium
Much thought and refinement went into this 25 gallon design...
It had to be elegant, yet functional. It was built, tested, then built again...
It had to be designed with the necessary features to satisfy the experienced aquarist, yet simple and practical so as to also delight the first time fish keeper.
Every detail was obsessed over, until it was made simple. So that all you have to worry about, is how to introduce it into your room.
Aquarium Details & Specifications:
25 gallon acrylic Aquarium. The tank is 31" inches wide, 16" inches in diameter. With the Aquarium feet the tank height is raised about one more inch.
The top of the tank is a flat piece of acrylic 31" x 5.5" (which has three 4" x 8" openings for access to the aquarium). Keep in mind that any reef coral, rocks, decor, etc will have to fit through this opening.
These hold the Aquarium in place. They come as unfinished pine and depending on your decor - can be left natural wood or can be stained or painted. They are 12" long, making the base width of the tank 12" wide.
As I said above the light hood sits on a 31" x 5.5" flat piece of acrylic.
This tank was designed for use with the ZOO MED AQUASUN 30" hood, which uses two T5 fluorescent tubes. These bulbs emit a beautiful light, and you have multiple bulb colors to choose from depending on wether you are growing live plants or supporting a coral reef.
Can it accommodate other lamps such as LED hoods?
It was designed to work with the ZOO MED, but any light that fits on top of the 31"x5.5" top should work great as long as it can be safely secured. Incandescent bulb based lamps should never be used on this aquarium as they get too hot.
The tank was designed to be used with a submersible filter which can be suction cupped anywhere in the Aquarium making it easy to hide from view.
If this campaign does well:
Aside from being able to place a volume order, it will also allow me to develop additional innovative accessories such as laser-cut “aquarium feet” and a custom LED hood option. Once developed, these options will be offered at a significant discount to anyone who contributes to this initial campaign (through the website: IsisAquariums.com)
Thank you gift details:
So the first four thank you gifts are not pictured - they will be a surprise! They are a Thank You, a hand written Thank You Note, some sort of crazy "Isis Aquarium" socks I will create, and a framed desktop picture.
The Aquarium thank you's are broken down here:
Never kept fish before?
Now is a great time to start! Aquariums are magic, but do require a bit of TLC to keep the magic flowing. If you are genuinely interested in caring for an aquarium there is a wealth of information available on YouTube or at your local pet store.

Risks and challenges
So what are the "risks and challenges" aside from not meeting the financial goal?
I suppose life teaches us that something can always go wrong... Be it a raw materials availability issue, equipment damage or malfunction, a shipping delay... A government shutdown?!
Whatever it is, backers can rest assured that I am a meticulous planner and an obsessive problem solver. Nothing puts my brain into action like a road block right in front of the finish line!
I'm committed to making this project happen - for me its more a question of HOW FAST can I make it happen? If this Kickstarter campaign is successful I can get these out into the world a lot faster than I would have otherwise been able to! And of course if something does come up I will be quick to communicate.
Feel free to ask any questions. Don't be a square. Be a cylinder!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
