TLDR: This update is almost entirely information from Ship Naked about the completion of fulfillment for the primary game. First, it's a few notes about conventions we're going to. :D
ETX 2016 and OrcaCon 2017
We don't have plans to roam too far from our home base in the coming months, but if you live in Washington and would like to catch up or play a game of Bring Your Own Book, we'll be at...
The Evergreen Tabletop Expo in Tacoma. We'll be sharing a table with a few other local indie game companies showing off our analog wares. Naturally, we'll have the bookcase backpack if anyone wants to get a shot wearing this year's hottest fashion accessory. If you're in Tacoma around the end of this month, be sure to pick up a ticket. Details about the convention are available on their website.
We'll also be at OrcaCon 2017 in Everett. They're currently running a Kickstarter with discounted tickets for next year's event, and there are some Bring Your Own Book backer rewards. Last year, Matthew gave a talk encouraging people to try their hand at tabletop design, and this year he'll...probably do something like that again. If you'd like more details about the convention, you can check out their website.
If there's another event that you think we should be attending, let us know in the comments. We don't have a huge budget for jetting around, but we're still looking for places to take the book game message. In particular, we have an interest in attending some of the bigger book conventions, where we think BYOBook can find a home.
We've been enjoying seeing people post on social media about getting their copies, and your compliments on the final production have been quite touching. We're happy you feel, like us, that it was worth the wait. If you want to see some of the posts and interact with other backers in the wild, there are some Twitter searches we regularly do and we even set up an Instagram account to chat with players there.
As for fulfillment, Ship Naked sent us an e-mail yesterday to confirm they'd finished mailing copies of the game to everyone on our list, and they provided us with the following post-fulfillment FAQ. Once again, if it has to do with shipping issues, misrouted copies, or even a replacement because you got one of those rare copies with double foil stamping, reaching out to them will solve the issue faster than reaching out to us.
Still, we're always here if that doesn't work or if you need to check in for any other reason: email@example.com. Custom cards are being mailed this week, and we'll make an update in about a month once we've worked out how to handle post-campaign sales. In the meantime, here is the Ship Naked copy-pasta.
