Development Update for iMac Model

Dear iMac backer,

We have decided to upgrade the performance of our iMac receiver by converting it from the original wireless design into a wired version. The new wired version has far superior battery life and a much more pleasing aesthetic.

We are working on finalizing the customized cable for the iMac receiver. This special design cable will have six interior wires for power and communication between the iMac and iPen. Once we ascertain the exact dimension of this customized cable, we will finalize the iMac receiver design; a design which will not only allow for optimal performance, but will be sleek and attractive as well (as the receiver does not house a battery).

Below you’ll find the stylus stand and charger for the iMac model, which will allow for easy storing and charging of your iPen. We look forward to bringing you the next update which will include our progress and images of our newly designed receiver.

Warm Regards,

Well its been a year already.
I'm still willing to be patient only if you could provide us with a delivery date, I really want this idea to take off but with the way things are I just don't know what to say.

You got the right idea Evan, I really wanted this project to be successful but alas they are playing all theirs cards the opposite way to make it so.

After all this time this is the kind of update we get..::::::: I'm lost for words, and not in a good way.

I got an email in Dec from you stating it would take two weeks to process my Refund. It has been more than two weeks. Please complete my Refund for me. Thanks.

Nice Photoshop work for at least $368.630,-- and 1559 (minus few) fools...

Refund: asked. failed. asked again. failed better...

I think it is justified for those of us who want a refund to get some sort of a response and our refund. The dates have changed, the product has changed, and I feel like we're not getting answers just confusing updates.

    10. Rachel Bowland Ulstad on January 13, 2014

I asked for a refund weeks ago and never even got an acknowledgment. I would like a refund on this. It is a fairly large chunk of money for an item that will not be compatible now with what I own.

Can you please address some of the comments left by people who aren't asking for a refund? Not bashing them at all, I think they're justified - I'm thinking that by addressing our concerns you can keep more backers from joining their ranks.

      Re: Refund
We're sorry for the delay of refund. We know some backers already received refund, some are not. Once you receive the refund, you'll not be able to make any comments on this project as your pledge status is removed. We did contact Amazon to resolve the refund issue, and will make sure it's processed. Sorry about this :-(

I also requested a refund and was told I would receive it last month, but I haven't received a refund yet either.

Although i am really frustrated with the delay and confused with all the updates and changes in the design of the ipen, i won't ask any refund yet, in respect to the other bakes who still hope to see the success of this product one day.
However, i hope the final ipen will still work as expected with the devices we had on the day we backed on your project. I've got an old iMac and i hope you won't change the specifications of the ipen to make it work only with the next next iMac in 2016... hehe

I'm with Drew on this, I've contacted you several times about getting a refund based on your statement a while about about offering refunds. There seems to be ongoing delays and or changes and no delivery date. How do I go about getting a refund as well.

We've known this was a wired design since Aug 3rd, 2013. The only new info in this update is that there are six wires in your cable. You didn't even show the cable or receiver set up. The last time it was mentioned by you guys was Update #21. I expected to find out something new about the set up I should be expecting, given that it ISN'T what you sold us on during your campaign.

How does the pen stand/charger get power? Does it require another separate cable? Is it connected to the same cables the receivers are connected to? I don't think anyone wants to add a whole spiderweb of cables for one device.

I'd still like an update on software - both how the device is making marks (we've never seen clean line quality on an iMac) and what software it will be compatible with.

    20. John Einselen on January 12, 2014

Sounds like a good change, especially in a desktop situation where wireless really isn't that beneficial. Thanks for the update!

    21. Drew Blom on January 12, 2014

I have contacted you several times to cancel my pledge, which you said was possible a few updates back. I still have not heard back. Since this project has no delivery date, and updates appear to be changing very rudimentary elements of the iPen, I would like a refund of my pledge. Please let me know how this is possible.
