iPen 2 is a universal stylus and mouse for iMac and Apple Displays running Mac OS & Windows.
1,559 backers pledged $368,630 to help bring this project to life.

So what about MacBook Pro?

Posted by Cregle Inc. (Creator)

Hi Kickstarter,

Lots of people ask us the compatibility on MacBook Pro. Today, we want to show you our initial test on it. iPen 2 is designed to write on every glass screen as long as the receiver fits the screen. For MacBook users, you may notice a tiny lining rubber fitted around your screen. This lining rubber is obstructing the receiver attachment to the screen. We are still working the ways around it. In the meantime, please share iPen 2 to your friends and Mac community so we can reach the funding goal.

Have a nice day,

      Can you make the ipen 2 compatible with the Macbook Pro with the anti-glare/matte display. Many artists/photographers use a matte display and this would be a great addition!

      If you watch the video, from what I can see it looks like the latest Macbook Pro, which in my case will be great (especially with Retina display).

      But perhaps the developer can confirm this. Which generation of the Macbook Pro is being used in the demo video?

      If it's not glass panel, iPen 2 will damage the screen.
      I confuse it with glass panel with anti-glare coating. Sorry about that!

      @Tuan anh Bui
      Thats exactly what I was thinking.

      Actually, I think it will damage matte displays, because they have no glass panel.

      Sorry about that. iPen 2 will NOT damage the anti-glare screen.

      I'm unsure on whether you have a problem understanding the question or you simply choose to ignore it WILL THE IPEN DAMAGE A MACBOOK PRO WITH AN ANTI-GLARE/MATTE DISPLAY? A simple yes or no answer will suffice.

      Because Macbook air does not have glass panel, the pen tip may damage the screen.

      You mentioned earlier that the macbook air's screen will get damaged by the ipen 2. Why is that the case? Will the same apply to macbook pros with antiglare/matte displays as well?
