Hello.  Thank you for getting this far.  Want to see great material produced by normal folks?  We need your help!

What's the project you say?  Well . . .

THE PROJECT

Marooned is a "mockumentary" style show about two actors from the coasts who get stuck in Iowa after the state's film office is shut down in a blazing scandal.

Community theater, bad commercials, and terrible day jobs are their only recourse. Hilarity ensues.

Each episode will run about 20 minutes and will be available freely on the internet. There are 8 episodes in Season One.

THE FUNDRAISING

Your pledges will cover production expenses for the first episode. With Kickstarter, if we don't meet our goal, no one gets charged.  It's all-or-nothing.

If we exceed our goal, we will be able to produce additional episodes.

ABOUT US

"IowaFilmmakers" is the pen name of the group that brought you Iowa Nice and is bringing you Valentine Road.  We're committed to creating quality, long format material in the vein of traditional film and television.  Our hope is to help take web video into adulthood.

Help us get there!  We love small donations!

BUT WHAT ABOUT VALENTINE ROAD?

Valentine Road is alive and well.  It's going to take a lot of work (and a few dollars) to produce the entire first season, but we do have one episode, "The Prologue," which we will be releasing in 2012.  For more information about this project, please visit www.valentineroad.com.

FAQ

  • The first episode will be available with commercial breaks on YouTube, and depending on its success we may pitch the series to another content delivery site.
