About this project
Iowa Filmmakers started two years ago with a theory: we believed a few unknown filmmakers from Middle America could make it to national prominence using the internet as our platform.
And it's been working. Our work has been featured on CNN and MSNBC, as well as weekly on ESPNU. But we need help to continue making quality work.
"Animal Justice League - Episode II" will be a twenty-minute episode divided into three segments.
Our heroes, Bulldog & Dane, will take on one of Hades’ most unpredictable villains: The Cat Lady.
As the cats of the city mysteriously turn up missing, municipal officials know they must turn to the only team that can untangle this mystery: The Animal Justice League. This time, however, our heroes will need more help putting right the wrongs of Hades’ underlings.
Will Bulldog & Dane survive? Will Hades be one step closer to ruling all of the land? Will Dane finally go on a successful date? Find out in the next episode of Animal Justice League!
Your pledges will cover production expenses for the second episode. With Kickstarter, if we don't meet our goal, no one gets charged. It's all or nothing. If we exceed our goal, we will be able to produce an even more kickass-looking episode.
Risks and challenges
The first episode of Animal Justice League was funded out-of-pocket. It was a volunteer effort, shot in one week and planned on the spot.
The second episode is longer and will require a higher production value. Shooting will take several weeks and a crew of volunteer industry professionals. Crew members will need to take time away from fulltime jobs or paying gigs in order to donate their time to the project. The logistical challenges of managing a film crew are massive, like building a house. We'll all have a few gray hairs after this is over.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Yes and No. We don't typically include traditional "scrolling" credits at the end of web videos, as the vast majority of the internet audience won't sit through them. We do, however, include credits in the YouTube description. Backers to this project will be listed there as well.
