Outstanding work, everyone! This is looking better and better all the time.. I love the new UI changes and especially like the context menu addition too. That kind of "streamlining" doesn't dumb things down, it just improves and optimises the experience without taking away from the general depth :)

Great, but my question is: is there a new story (=DLC) on the horizon or do we need to replay Wasteland 2 over and over and over again until WL3?

This is going to be the longest 8 days ever :/

I'm excited about the release, but I'm undecided what I should do with it. I played about 20 hours into the original release of it, but then got busy with other things for a bit. Then I heard about this Director's Cut coming out, so I decided to not pick it up again until the updated release.

So, should I start the game over, or should I pick up where I left off and not worry about potential missed content from that first bit of the story? Or will the update even load my save game?

My understanding is that this will install and a complete second instance of wasteland2. They are letting us keep the old version should we want to play, but the new install will require a fresh start.

      Last I heard anyways.

@paradroid I don't think inXile is but so big and if they've already got Torment: Tides of Numenera and Bard's Tale in the pipes I doubt there will be any meaty story DLC for Wastelands 2 beyond what's in Director's Cut. I could be wrong of course but I wouldn't hold my breath. The game is VERY replayable though so it shouldn't be a problem playing it over and over until Wastelands 3 comes out. I doubt you could get the exact same experience if you TRIED.

@Philomorph I'm in the same boat as you and I already asked a similar question. I was told Director's Cut will NOT import your saves so you'll have to start over in DC. As Nexus said the DC version will install side-by-side with the original version so if you don't want to start over you can finish your play-through on the original version then go back and start again on DC. I'm just going to ditch my original start personally and start fresh when the DC is released personally.

      What's Thunderclap?

As some have said here, yes, our intention is to keep both games side-by-side for those who want to play the original.

@Alarian DarkWind - it's a site that lets you coordinate Facebook/Twitter/etc. posts all at once. Sign up and you'll allow for a one-time post with the message and image shown on the Thunderclap. In our case, we're going to do a single post on the game's release date to help spread the word.

So far we are on track to reach 125,000 people with our Thunderclap, which is pretty crazy, but every further share helps!

+1 for removing the console limitations on the pc version. Can't wait to play the DC., GoGoGo! :D

The interface changes definitely sound promising. I look forward to it!
(I haven't had much time to play the original yet, so this will be a good time for a fresh start) :)

The Story & Scale trailer really let me know what I've been missing out on. I am too young for Wasteland 1, but the gameplay reminds me of the original Deus Ex games. Going to love this game! (once I find the time)

Ooh, so close now. I've been waiting for this for my second play through.
