Way to go, inXile! It's time for us to show the EAs of the world that not only do they not understand the games people are willing to pay to see, but that they don't need to charge $60, censor "mature" content from titles, and have draconic on-line only DRM to make money creating and selling games. With any luck, in 5 years ALL major titles will be decided upon and funded by the masses, and the UbiSofts and EAs of the world will be stuck trying to make ends meet with their sports franchises - nothing would make this old gamer happier.
You guys deserve it, congrats. I've been very happy with your updates and progress on Wasteland 2 and I was glad to do my part to help keep an RPG-making studio churning, even though I had never played the original Torment game.
Keep up the good work and the community will keep supporting you. :)
I do think it is odd that people say $60 is too much for a game in 2013 while people are complaining the $95 tier is sold out.
NES games (and many computer games) back in 1985 were $50. Inflation adjusted, that is over $100 today. We actually pay less for games today, where as game budgets have gone through the roof. That is why so many developers keep going out of business.
So satisfied to see that this funding model remains relevant. Keep making games and better yet - keep plugging games from other Indie Developers. If I can continue to back 3 indies for the cost of am single Big House Publisher title I will back every indie you send me that piques my interest!

You guys promise what the game industry no longer shows hope for.....amazing and thought provoking games. I cannot express how happy it makes me to support projects like this. I am sitting at a $125 pledge for now but I am looking at add-ons and perhaps upgrading to higher tiers.

I grew up on these games. I missed them. There is just something undefinably right in being able to imerse yourself in a world (and a story) at your own pace, without having to worry about online bustle, and without having to worry about missing something because you weren't online at 4 AM.

There was no hesitation for me nor need for your well worded explanation on why this was starting with Wasteland 2 still in production. You guys have been transparent as glass and obviously working hard on making Wasteland 2. The updates have been relevant, frequent, straight forward, honest, and insightful. It's obvious this isn't just about money, you guys really love making good games. It's obvious to all of us backers, and that creates a trust for you guys. If only other developers, or even other groups took this approach, the world would be a better place.
Looking forward to getting double updates now =D

Oh, you did say PC, Mac AND Linux. Thank you!! At least I'll be able to enjoy a great story on the platform that love to do everything on...the only thing I didn't do on it was play RPG stuff (Wine works on older MS apps but spotty at times). Now I can play one of the best RPG games to come on the best, most flexible/customizable/stable Desktop platform OS architecture there is. Thank you again!! (And the Unity people..finally) I'll keep supporting your projects as I've loved them ALL.

The people who love these kinds of games never disappears. What changed was the publishers who sunk their teeth in and drained the life out of everything good in the video game world.

EVen I have to give it up to you guys. You weren't even half way there when I pledged, and I am amazed. I knew you would get there, but today? Nothing but props. Propose another quality title and I will pledge again. This may just be the new model for so-called "niche" titles.

For me the dealbreaker is how well you've communicated with us every step off the way. The way you treat your paying customers and fans deserves this kind of success.
Haven't touched an EA product since Dragon Age when I caught them slipping an unmentioned service on my WIndows Box, analyzed it, found it to be dangerously close to a DRM they promised not include, and that was just before the online-only DRM was introduced later. Swore I'd never purchase another EA game again. (and I haven't. Was informed Mass Effect 3 DRM actually scans your files (WT???)) Am really looking forward to the rise of crowd-funded RPG and the demise of EA (it will take years before they die a slow painful death..Ubisoft will take almost as long)

I am on the lowest tier of backing and believe you me! It breaks my heart into pieces that I can't throw the money into the screen. But poor as I am, I can only help spread The Word.
But now since you made this incredible stride so fast, I guess we deserve to know what gameplay mechanics you are planning with it.
cRPGs have been plagued by the specter of RTwP and Wasteland 2 has poured a solid (liguid?) life-blood of fresh start into the oft-considered “dying breed” of Turn based RP games. It would do my soul and those of many other incredible amounts of good to see the tradition continued and more similar games brought to our computers. I *know*, I *know*, P:ST was Real Time. But as I see it that was compromising the base gaming mechanics it was designed to work around anyway. Now that you have the support of your fans, I believe the time has come to reinforce the idea that: YES Turn Based games are the optimal way to play certain kinds of games and T:ToN will be their herald.
