Combat still looks so awful! Hahaha.

Delays... patience and delivery... hard targets and dates. All games pen & paper, digital or whatever that I have backed in last 5 years have shown delays... So I don't look at dates, just at the name of the studio, the people involved and then decide if it is worth the wait (however long) and the money.I see it as an investment with the risc involved. Still waiting om my very first kickstarter: trollbridge Successfully funded on Jul 7 2011. Best thing they did: not telling me when I should expect it. Now 5 years later it almost is done :) they update their website regular with new material.
I will be burned (had two fraudulent kicks) and I will be disappointed (unable to deliver due to mass and unexpected costs). I also have had great fun with kickstarters. overall its worth it. (but that's my opinion)
inXile delivers great games that keep me occupied and the involvement of the developers and their progress is all I need to feel good about it. If it's my kind of game I would not have second thoughts about backing inXile games, Jeromy Walsh - Chronicles of Elyria or Chris Roberts with Star Citizen.
So ... yep, Bradley - Hence why I still back kickstarters even if they fail delivery dates by a year or 2... 3. ;)

Bradley -- yep, hence why I no longer back Kickstarters or buy from the companies who have failed to deliver on them within a year of their proposed date.

inXile, thx so much for quick response to my inquire about "rewards" -- I now have both Wasteland 1 and W2 Director Cut, took about all of 30 seconds, I feel like an idiot. But who knew that "Rewards" were actually "Keys" -- or wait -- you need the "key" to open the treasure chest?

    5. madGamer on

The game was to have 20 to 35 hours, now the game is more than 60 hours. It is understandable the delay. :) at least the time of release is coming.

    6. Bradley Staples

I've had several kick starters that went late, but this one is sooooo late that I'm not even upset anymore. I'm just apathetic.

I was really hyped about this game almost 4 years ago.

I was excited 3 years ago.

I was upset 2 years ago.

Somewhere between then and now I literally forgot about this. Just flat out disinterested. I was scrolling my KS activity log and saw this in there, and had realized I had forgotten about it.

      Anyone else?

Hey that's great guys. Not sure if you have reached the level of the tech demo.
Game seems to target teenagers. Also it's rather clean. No gore or wild out there images like say HR Giger.
Still its been hell of road and one I am sure you looking forward to meeting its end.

If the rest of the game has the writing quality of the part I'm able to play right now, this is going to be so worth the wait.

@James Antell - You can actually get your Wasteland 2 game key for Steam or GOG right now - it should be listed among your backer reward on the Torment site, under the "Keys" button. :)

Not sure if this is the right place for an answer, but -- this has gone on so long I've totally lost track of it among my KS stuff -- will Wasteland 2 be released as a reward on the same date when Torment releases? I have a note that says I pledged both for $45. I did register but W2 seems not to be available as a DL even though (I think) that game is out now.

This game was ambitious from the start. I thought the original target date was self-evidently aggressive, but the goals were still clearly achievable within a realistic timespan (unlike certain other projects *cough* star citizen *cough*). I was happy to back this, and am still happy I backed this. :)

Looking forward to the final release! :)

Correction Christian Fredrik Burja the retard, that was closer to 2 years ago and yes the string of blown release dates is pathetic. I stand by my comment. I have a right to voice my displeasure at these developers and I really don't care. I have learned my lesson and I don't back anything on kickstarter or support any early releases. I have learned my lesson, thanks InXile.

"Mind blowing stuff. This game is going to be like a religious experience. Thank you for taking the time to do this right. Not to worry, when this game is done it is going to sell like wildfire. I hope this game will influence game companies to go back to the roots of what made games great in the past. Bring back the rpg's to their former greatness."

Mike Gillis' words one year ago - what a tool to go from that to what he was written today.

Thanks for the update and the novellas. They certainly help make the time until release pass by faster.

      Am eagerly awaiting the game!

Unlike Mike, I'm happy to wait and I'm thankful for the new novellas; the others have been very enjoyable.

How many years has it been? Finish the damn game! I backed this and I don't even care anymore. You send me updates, I don't give a rat's ass. Put up or shut up. Damn.
