Your favorite literary magazine will continue the legacy of photography, poetry, prose, and art from Moscow High Students.
The Dormant Volcano
In 2007, the Moscow High literary magazine shut down. Money was tight and student morale had seen better days. For these past four years students had to find other outlets to express their creatively. Hopefully InnerVisions is not permanently inactive.
This year three High School Juniors, Zoe Johnson, Allie McIntosh, and Erin Saladin, are taking an Extended Learning Internship to reintroduce InnerVisions into the school. In the last seven months they have researched literary magazine production, explored layout design, calculated existing budget, installed a submission system on campus, and sold pre-orders of the magazine.
It turns out that publishing an 80 page booklet is not cheap. Between the meager savings from 2007 and sales revenue thus far, InnerVisions funding has some gaps to fill. At this point hundreds of Moscow High students have submitted and approximately 40 pages have already been formatted. The only expense of this project is printing cost. Without this little boost, InnerVisions may remain dormant.
