Hey Everybody! It's Elizabeth here from In LUMOS Libertas and I am so excited to be premireing the next in my line of Great Hall mugs!
Last October and December I put out a the first two in the collection, the Halloween and Christmas Mugs. They all sold out and I have been getting questions ever since on if I would bring them back. I really wanted to but as many of you know, the minimum order for mugs from a production facility can be really high so I have been hesitant to take the plunge. I have been working behind the scenes though to come up with a way to make sure we can hit the minimum number and also make sure that everyone who wants one can get a chance to have one! I also really wanted to offer FOUR different versions of my next mug, the Winner of the House Cup in the Great Hall Mug. That way every house could be represented.
Running this project will allow for everyone to get the mugs that they want! I have options to pledge to receive the Halloween or the Christmas Mug alongside the new Winner of the House Cup Mug. I also have included special items with the House Cup Winner Mugs including a custom tea blend, enamel pin of the House Cup and stickers of the art. By using Kickstarter we can make sure to raise enough funds to cover the minimum order amount for the mugs.
If you have never used Kickstarter before the way this works is you pledge now but your card will not be charged until the VERY end of the campaign. It will not be charged at all if we do not reach the pledge goal of 2,500. This means that I will be able to order a mug everyone who pledges and make sure that I can fulfill all orders.
Winner of the House Cup Mugs-
I am printing these mugs through the same manufacturer as the previous ones so they should match exactly to the already released Halloween and Christmas Mugs. They are 10oz Tin Enamel Mugs. While they are top track dishwasher safe if you use the mug often I recommend hand washing and drying to ensure longitivtiy of the design. While these mugs are not microwave safe due to the internal tin/metal core, they are extremely sturdy and can be heated over an open flame if your into that sort of things.
House Cup Enamel Pin-
1.75x1.25 Soft Enamel Pin in raised gold and black. Very shiny! Comes on designed pin card.
I have some fun ideas for Stretch Goals that include upgrading the pins from soft enamel to hard, adding wood marks with the art, holo prints and Great Hall Minky Blankets! As it gets closer to funding I will announce the stretch goals.
- May-Kickstarter will run
- Early June- Collect funds, send out and return surveys, order products
- Mid-July- Products arrive, verify shipping addresses
- Late July/Early August- Ship products!
Cost Breakdown- Below is a cost breakdown for the amount needed to fund the project. Full color and full wrap sublimation printed mugs are not cheap so the mugs themselves take up a huge portion of the funds. Then the pins followed by Kickstarter fees and shipping supplies along with a small percentage to account for incidentals like extra shipping costs on the items themselves.
At the end of the campaign there will be an opportunity to add more mugs and pins to your order at a discounted price from what they will be offered at in the shop through Backerkit.
As always all of the art is done by my husband Shelby Robertson.

Risks and challenges
The biggest risk is that we won't fund! The second biggest risk is that when the products arrive they are not up to snuff. Each time I have ordered mugs at least 3-4 have blurred art. I always order well beyond what I need but on the off chance, they all arrive damaged that would delay shipping.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
