gray or white whichever is faster and cheaper. They are going to get naturally "dirtier" anyways from use (at least my set will, planning on wearing them out!) As ling as it does not take away from the great artwork of the monsters.

I plan on scribbling like mad in mine. As such white would seem to make the most sense...

Slightly tinted, so that a monster can be whiter/brighter

I'd prefer white myself as I was planning on using various colors when marking the creatures.

I think that a slight tone of gray would make the artwork completely lifelike!

Gray wouldn't be a deal breaker, but I think I'd prefer white -- I think it'd make the art stand out better.

I'd prefer a light gray personally, but wouldn't complain about white.

I agree that light grey would work, as would white.

I think gray would be very interesting. Not too hard to mock up see what that will look like.

I am assuming the plastic itself will be white, how does that look running up the edges vs. any gray backgrounds of the printed face? Also any gray vs. the stand color?

Sticking with white or a very light gray may be more optimal for readability, if people are planning to mark these up with dry-erase markers...
