About this project
THANK YOU! We have reached our fund-raising goal a week early!!
There is still time to support Satellites; the pledging window closes on Sunday, April 3.
Having reached our $2,500 goal, we will be able to provide stipends for our collaborators, rent rehearsal space, and realize our ambitious production designs. Additional contributions will further support the production of Satellites, allowing us to find the most stylish and professional ways to build the world of the play.

Inkblot Ensemble's new play Satellites will be presented for the first time as a Work In Progress in foolsFURY's festival of ensemble theater, the FURY Factory in June 2011. Following this and other developmental workshops, the full production of Satellites will take place in 2012.
ABOUT THE PLAY
Satellites by Inkblot Ensemble
Jupiter: god of storms, wielder of thunderbolts; insatiable, undeniable lover to any and all who caught His divine eye. Once embracing Io as a cloud, Ganymede with eagle’s talons, Leda in the guise of a swan, Europa as a smooth white bull, now the god has vanished. Abandoned by their abductor, the lovers are still trapped in His gravitational pull. In a dreamlike expression of eternity, these discarded conquests ache to make sense of their endless orbit. When Jack, a modern man, crosses the threshold into their strange world, they become part of each other’s past and discover startling truths about the future.
Satellites is inspired by the beauty of ancient stories woven into modern science, by the humanity of the immortal gods, and by the mysteries of the vast space that holds us all.
ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE Inkblot is a collaborative ensemble of artists committed to the creation and development of original work that honors the complex dichotomy of truth and perception. We support and encourage every individual's creative potential. We challenge each other to take risks: to explore, excavate, and make sense of the human experience. We believe in the power of the collaborative process to inspire, liberate, and dare us to create meaningful, stylish, honest new work. We invite you to challenge your assumptions, to step out of your comfort zone, and to enjoy the question: what do you see?
