88-90m Documentary Film/Television Pilot
We are proud to be able to offer once in a lifetime sponsorship opportunity to be a vital part of the first documentary film/television pilot covering the inspiring personal stories of up-and-coming collegiate softball players. The stakes couldn't be higher, so they're playing for keeps.
"In Her Cleats" is an intense reality documentary about talented, young female athletes seeking collegiate scholarships through the highly competitive sport of softball. Using traditional documentary filming and cutting edge reality-style production, we will portray the difficult and strenuous road to playing professional college sports. With the world watching, they will let cameras into their lives to show the incredible sacrifices, personal challenges, intense drama, and everything else these young athletes must overcome to be the best of the best.
IT IS ABOUT SO MUCH MORE THAN SOFTBALL.
These young women compete against thousands of other athletes across the nation for the attention of college softball coaches. The odds are equivalent to the odds of baseball players making a Major League Baseball team. Whether it is acknowledged or not, equality between males and females in athletics is far from even. For some, their only chance for a college education is at stake.
The personal stories of these athletes’ journeys are intricate and compelling. With so much at stake and so many sacrifices, so much pressure and overwhelming stress, sometimes it takes everything inside of them to go on…yet they do go on.

Risks and challenges
Any independent filmmaking project is fraught with peril. Many a filmmaker has produced a film, but has failed to find a distributor. Their hard work ended up on a shelf in the closet. However, the production team I have hired has a solid background in film production & reality television, and boast a dense network of contacts in the media industry. My co-producer in particular, Ethan Ireland, has worked on a dozen feature films, about a hundred commercials and industrials, six different reality television shows, and the better part of four seasons on the internet's #1 webseries.
I myself have a history of overcoming adversity via hard work and study. I have the knowledge and experience in the field of professional athletics, having been a professional softball player myself. I have the skill to identify the potential within children and teach them to develop that potential, so that they might become high-quality, professional athletes. I have the contacts to connect those high-value players with colleges all around the country, up o and including Division One schools.
It is the combination of my experience in professional athletics, my softball team's potential, my production team's experience in film & television production, and the compelling story about underprivileged kids pursuing the American Dream via America's Pastime that gives me hope for success. Those, along with the surge of popularity in documentary films distributed via Netflix, Amazon and other streaming media services. There may be many obstacles, but I'm certain we'll overcome them.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
