About this project
When Patriotism Trumps Hell...
"Troy Speaks The Truth" is inspired by true events which tells the story of a female Marine, First Leiutenant Diana Troy (Erika Ringor), who struggles to adjust to her family after she returns home from her second tour of duty in Afghanistan. Caught between the difficult decision that so many of our troops face; continue to fight or stay home, Diana's personal journey is one of courage, strength and loyalty.
INTRODUCING THE 810 GRIND PRODUCTIONS TEAM...
Actor - Writer - Producer
Erika Ringor’s big break came when she was picked as a supporting lead opposite Sanaa Lathan as Sidra O’Neal in Spike Lee’s acclaimed romantic drama "Love & Basketball" alongside a stellar cast including Alfre Woodard, Debbie Morgan and Omar Epps. Erika's character touched fans worldwide and made it okay to be the "bad girl", continuing to give Erika international notoriety both as an actress and in the world of basketball. She has used this notoriety to help charities supporting children in health and education by traveling around the country participating nationally in celebrity charity basketball events. She has had continued success booking television shows such as "Law & Order LA", "Parenthood", “Cold Case”, “Ghost Whisperer”, “Hawthorne”, “The Forgetten”, and “Sons of Anarchy” to name a few.

As you may know, the filmmaking process consists of the following stages; Development, Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production. Currently our team is in the Development stage. After almost 2 years of extensive research and numerous interviews, we have finally transformed our screenplay from what started out as a short film into a feature length screenplay. We are asking for funds to assist us in doing the following:
1. Attaching our director
2. Casting director
