About this project
Infamous Quests are the creators of the well-received point & click Role Playing Adventure Game, Quest For Infamy. In 2012 we rallied together a fantastic number of backers on Kickstarter who made Quest for Infamy a possibility. Successfully backed on Kickstarter and released on all major digital download platforms, Quest for Infamy has become one of the best adventure games in recent years.
Quest for Infamy was once just a dream in the minds of its creators, but thanks to Kickstarter and many of you, it became a reality. It has gone on to be noted as one of IndieDB's Top 100 Indie Games of 2014, as well as one of Time.com's 20 Games to Watch For Summer 2014. Recently, Quest For Infamy took home four AGS Awards - Best Gameplay, Best Puzzles, Best Character and Best Music and Sound.
STRETCH GOAL UNLOCKED: Order of the Thorne: Fortress of Fire is going into production as well!
Now, we're currently working on THREE new titles, and we need financial support to help complete and polish these two titles.
The Order of the Thorne: The King's Challenge is the first game in an upcoming anthology series from Infamous Quests. Games and stories set within the same land, but with different protagonists and stories in each game. Our first game is about an intrepid bard who embarks on the King's Challenge to save his Queen! Action, adventure and a touch of fairy tale magic take you away on this quest.
The King's Challenge also features fun and interesting puzzle mechanics, including the use of Finn's Lute - and a magical, music based GUI that controls spells to aid you on your quest!
The Order of the Thorne: The Fortress of Fire - as a young Squire to seasoned veteran knight, Sir Caradoc - Patrick "Addy" is in for the fight of his life, as he sets off on a quest to save his waylaid master as they set off to explore the mysterious "Fortress of Fire". Work your way through a dark and desolate land, solve puzzles, riddles and meet many fantastic characters as you find a way inside to rescue Caradoc! It's the second part of the anthology series, The Order of the Thorne, and if we reach out $35,000 stretch goal, production starts immediately!
Quest For Infamy: Roehm to Ruin is
a prequel to our acclaimed game, Quest for Infamy. In this game, we
find out a little more about where Roehm came from, and how he got
himself into the mess that led him to flee to the Valley of Krasna!
Featuring puzzles, stealth, humor, cunning and tricky situations, Roehm to Ruin was born out of an Adventure Game Jam in 2014! Now, Infamous Quests is turning it into a deluxe version, complete with soundtrack and full voice acting.
- SPEED - Get your games sooner. These games have been in production for quite some time now, and many hours have already been spent building them. Now, we need your help to put the final polish on them and complete them. With your support, we'll be able to complete these games in a much quicker time frame, and put a coat of beautiful polish on them. We aim to complete these games for Fall 2015, and thus get them out to you much sooner.
- ARTISTS - We have the best group of artists in the world and they deserve to be paid for their amazing work. At the moment they are working part-time because they need to support their families with other work, but your support will allow us to pay our artists, animators and programmers so they can dedicate their efforts to help us complete the projects quickly.
- VOICE ACTING - One complaint about Quest for Infamy was the varying quality of the recordings for the voice work in the game. We've listened to your feedback and we will use this funding to help us properly record voice actors in a professional studio.
We want to continue bringing you high quality, independently produced adventure games. These projects are smaller in scope and ambition than Quest For Infamy, but we still need your assistance. With funds raised from this campaign, we can pay more artists, animators and programmers to help us complete the projects in a more timely and quick manner. We will also use funds to help us properly record voice actors in a professional studio.
Basically, with your contributions, we can polish up, finish and get these games released in a much faster time schedule.
Please share and Re-Tweet this Kickstarter to help us! Every bit of support, both moral and financial, helps! Getting the word out is one of the best things you can do for us.
What do you get for your contributions? Well, of course, you get "rewards". Rewards are simple in this campaign at this point - you can either pledge 5 dollars for Roehm To Ruin, 10 dollars for The Order of The Thorne: The King's Challenge or 15 dollars for BOTH .
You'll receive the games as a digital download on the platform you prefer, including DRM free (GoG.com, Humble, Desura), and you'll also receive thanks from us.
For additional pledges, above and beyond these game only tiers, we're offering these tiers:
At the $25 level, you'll get the Soundtracks to the Games - which will include cover art, and liner notes about the music of the games.
At the $35 level - You'll get early-access to the games! Play the games before launch, and be able to give feedback on private forums. You get one copy of each game, and the official soundtracks too, as a digital download. Includes cover art and liner notes for tracks.
At the $50 level - You'll get a credit in the end credits of the games as "The Benevolent Knights of Baron Roehm". We appreciate you going above and beyond to support us and our games, and we'll make sure the world knows that.
At the $75 level - you'll receive all previous rewards, but you'll also get a limited spot to be immortalized on The Isle of The Honored in The Order of The Thorne. This island is revered in the land of Uir, where OotT takes place - and your name will be carved into one of the stones of honor on the island. Only 20 Spaces to offer!
At the $100 level, you'll also get an additional opening credits "Associate Producer" credit. You'll also get either a limited spot to be immortalized on The Isle of The Honored in The Order of The Thorne. (This island is revered in the land of Uir, where OotT takes place - and your name will be carved into one of the stones of honor on the island.) or you'll be named as an author of a book in The Great Library of The Fairy Court. You can even make a suggestion for the book title, and we'll write a blurb about the book and author for it! Also, in the opening of the game, we'll make it known your contributions helped produce this game. You'll receive the digital downloads of both games and the soundtracks as well. Only 15 spaces on the isle to offer and 25 books in the library.
We now have BOXED COPIES available as an add on. Just add the price of the items you want to your pledge. When the campaign is over, on Backerkit, which will handle Post-KS fufilment, you select the add-ons you have chosen!
We're keeping our goal modest on this campaign. Much of the production has been completed on our own, but we've reached the point where we need to raise additional money to properly complete the game, and put the final coat of paint on these games to make them shine. Our focus is to use all the funds raised in this campaign on game development and completion; We can pay and support our artists who bring these games to life and to hire professional studio time where we can record our voice actors. This money not only ensures the best quality we can afford, it also moves up the timetable of our production. Without the additional funds, development could take another year or more, instead of months.
Now, If we exceed our proposed goal, we can consider the possibility of adding physical rewards and stretch goals. However, we wanted to keep this campaign simple and to the point: You support us, you get the games; in addition, you'll get it sooner than you would if production continued along its current trajectory.
EDIT: Having reached out goal, find out more about boxed copies above!
We're keeping the focus on development and completion of the game by paying the people that make the game come alive.
Being indie ain't easy! There are a lot of challenges of doing things yourself, and working with a limited budget but it does provide us with a close relationship with our fans and the ability to makes games on our own terms. Independent development offers both us and our customers a unique experience in both game development and game play that is often missing.
We're proud to be a part of the resurgence in adventure games, and we hope to continue to be a part of that. All of us, you included, are a part of it, and your support of our project and projects like ours makes you an invaluable participant in a really amazing movement that's propelled solely by the love and passion of everyone involved.
Please share and Re-Tweet this Kickstarter to help us! Every bit of support, both moral and financial, helps! Tell your friends!

Risks and challenges
The dedication of this team is second to none - despite setbacks, this team finished and delivered Quest For Infamy, a previously Kickstarted title.
The biggest risk projects like this face is time management; but, having worked in this paradigm for the last three years - we have experience with that. These games have been worked on for quite some time, and we've brought funding in now to help us polish and finish these games. With the schedule we've planned out, we have a date in which to deliver the games that is realistic and much sooner than many other Kickstarted games have delivered. However, setbacks can happen - we have steps in place to prevent and minimize this.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
