What is it?
Sacrimony is exactly what I've always said it is: A tale of love, life and death in no particular order. It follows a mother, her strange looking daughter and a fallen god who seeks redemption for killing another god. Backing them up (or hindering them!) is a fully fleshed out, diverse cast of supporting characters with their own in-depth arcs that help sway the course of events.
While the story takes place in a fantasy setting, I often jokingly say it's a "slice-of-life-drama-soap-opera-fantasy" story. It's not a story about action, adventure and saving the world, but a story of coping and survival. How do these characters interact with their surroundings? What makes each of them tick? What makes good people do bad things? What makes bad people do good things? These are questions I love to ask while dissecting any juicy piece of media and I hope you ask similar questions while reading this comic. In fact, I encourage you to do so!
Why Print if it's Free to Read?
If you didn't know, the comic IS free to read online at sacrimony.com!
Aside from the fact that I personally love delicious, printed, full-color comic books, this is a non-linear narrative that performs at it’s peak in printed book form. It’s the type of story that will make a reader flip back through previous pages and realize "Hey that guy was in the crowd in the background the entire time!" or "oh THAT's what she meant when she said that thing on page 24 of chapter 1!" as they’re already well into chapter 5. It's cumbersome to have to click back and forth through a webcomic to discover those little "OH SNAP!" moments.
Overall, I estimate that the entire story will span anywhere between twenty to thirty chapters with an average of 90 pages per chapter. It’s a LONG story that covers a lot of time and multiple character arcs.
The first half of chapter one sets you up with numerous questions while the second half answers them with even more questions. As the story progresses, more answers and more questions will come up until all of the puzzle pieces fall in place.
Every time you reread it, you may notice a little something new ;)

Risks and challenges
Sacrimony Chapter 1 is prepped and ready for printing. There are always risks with 3rd party printing, such as print errors or shipping errors. I've given a shipping date of March 2018 to ensure things go as smoothly as possible.
Sir Garran: Origins has not been drawn yet, but I'm more than willing to do the extra work and hire some extra help to hit the deadline of shipping by March 2018 if it gets funded.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
