I want to buy this for a Christmas present for somebody (aren’t you the greatest!) - will it arrive in time?
We can't guarantee it - BUT just let us know and we will create you a beautiful gift card to give them and we can even post the mascara straight to the giftee when it is ready if you like! (We also guarantee that it IS worth waiting for…!).Last updated:
If all goes well (and we hit our target!) the i&i team will be heading to New York in February for New York Fashion Week, to properly launch the brand to the world.
You will receive return flights from New Zealand for two people, 4 nights accommodation for two and (hopefully) come to a show with Hannah & Bonnie (TBC). We would confirm and check dates with you after the Kickstarter but most likely to be 8th-11th February.

Mascara is our absolute favourite. A delightful adorning. And when we wear levitate, we feel super feminine and beautiful. To quote Bonnie (our Founder & Creative Director), “it’s like butterflies on my lids”.
So, to sell a mascara where the profit helped end avoidable blindness just made sense to us.Last updated:
Our mascara tubes are recyclable when clean. There are also some great ideas to repurpose your old mascara wands online.
This is our favourite place to send our mascara wands once we have finished with them: http://www.appalachianwild.org/wands-for-wildlife.htmlLast updated:
By supporting us, you’re buying from and building the future of what all companies will look like - ethical choices and positive impact woven into the fabric of their business model.
50% of our profits from levitate go to our indigo & iris foundation. Our foundation links with different impact projects in the Pacific region. Our first is to support The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ.Last updated:

We’re first looking to support The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ - they have a long term approach to increasing access to healthcare in the South Pacific - their programs are run by incredibly talented and dedicated Pacific Islander healthcare professionals.
We are building relationships with other organisations who are having an awesome impact in the Pacific Islands - such as Women in Business who are crafting our nourishing and beautiful organic coconut oil for levitate. We are looking to support organisations working on climate change and coral restoration in the Pacific next.Last updated:
Yes! We’re aiming for a full range of beauty products. Each product will link to a different impact project, but you’ll have to stay tuned for more information…Last updated:
Following our Kickstarter campaign (all going well), you will be able to purchase levitate online at indigoandiris.co in February 2018. However, for the moment, Kickstarter is the only way to get your hands on the product.Last updated:
The indigo & iris Foundation was established to own 50% of indigo & iris i ltd, so that i&i profits when distributed would go to the foundation that funds impact projects in the Pacific region. The foundation also receives a portion of every makeup sale directly so that we can have impact fast.Last updated:
Bonnie started working on indigo & iris in late 2014. We’re properly launching in November 2017 with the Kickstarter campaign.Last updated:
After 2 and a half years of searching the world for the BEST mascara formula, we were lucky enough to be introduced to a world-leading manufacturer in Italy. Because they’re so good and work with some of the world’s best brands they have a minimum order requirement. For indigo & iris to work with them, we have to get pre-orders to get the cash to meet that requirement! So we are doing pre-sales on Kickstarter to start us off.Last updated:
We operate as a for profit company - we have a solid supply chain where workers are fairly paid, no products are tested on animals and whenever a decision is being made it is never just the bottom line that is considered. We always make the most sustainable choices we can whilst still running a successful company.
What sets us apart is that we exist for two reasons - the first is because we want to be happy and work in an amazing environment. At indigo & iris everyday is fun, we respect and love each other and it’s great to be working on something we love.
The second reason is because we believe that this is how all business can operate if they choose to - you don't have to compromise anything. So we are out to prove that business can be successful and support incredible organisations / have a massive positive impact at the same time!Last updated:
