The Master Plan
From our shambolic origins to working with bands on the brink of success, we want to mark the tenth anniversary of I'm Not From London by releasing a double vinyl compilation.
We plan to manufacture a limited run of the record to keep it special. Once they're gone, they're gone!!
Fifty percent of the profits of the record will be going straight to the bands. In many ways, this campaign is not just about us it's about them too.
By pledging for a copy of the compilation on Kickstarter you'll get your name printed on the sleeve, stamping your name onto the history of I'm Not From London.
Over the course of the Kickstarter campaign we'll be keeping you well informed about the progress of the record design and production. We'll also be shouting about the awesome people that are supporting us on this adventure through a series of mini interviews and documentaries.
We can only pull this off with the help of wonderful people such as yourself, the amazing bands that have agreed to be on the compilation, and the local companies that have partnered with us creating some ridiculously amazing rewards to accompany the record.
Whether you fancy getting your hands on the one-of-a-kind custom vintage Les Paul guitar or you decide to do super quick share of our project on social media - no donation is too small.
Reaching the target will allow us to not only pay for the record production but help fund future record releases and a paid apprenticeship. We want to continue to support the amazing talent around us and your efforts will fan the flames of our next decade of distortion.
Risks and challenges
Having run our own record label for the past five years we know all too well that records are expensive to produce.
With only a small number of operating record plants left in the world, manufacturing vinyl was almost a lost art until its recent surge in popularity. As the demand for vinyl has rapidly increased so has the time it takes to get the records made, which is why we predict that the records won't be shipped until the end of the year.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
