The first update...
We've been plugging along!
We're currently at work on two stories: one about the immigration detention center in Broadview, IL and another about my great uncle and a home in Englewood that my family has owned for over five decades. Both are for magazines, local and national, and should be out within the next two months. We'll also have a version of "Wedlock" featured in the upcoming issue (#3) of The Cartoon Picayune. So, keep an eye out!
Besides that, we've been interviewed by Columbia College Chicago (link coming soon), the Columbia Journalism Review and The Cartoon Picayune. All of which provide a window into the process that we've created for our stories and the general approach we have regarding comics and the future of journalism.
So, thanks to everyone who's expressed interest so far! We appreciate the love.
Right now we're at T-minus 17 days at 33 percent of the way to our goal.
If you haven't already, please text/tweet/FB/email/tell your friends about this project! We're looking to make an impact on narrative-driven journalism and we need your help.
