Update 12: Languages, Localizations and A Voice From The Past
Bloodstained has been a global project from the beginning, but now that we're into the meat of the campaign we're making some additions that we hope will make it even easier to take IGA's fanbase international.
First, thanks to Playism and their localization powers, we're opening up Kickstarter mirrors:
Click those links to check them out, and if you speak any of those languages, use them to spread the word! Playism is still working on translating the backer updates (and the images, for the FR/DE versions), but please let us know about any other improvements we can make—these are works in progress.
Second, we're announcing that the final version of Bloodstained will be playable in six languages:
Third, all Bloodstained players will have access to both Japanese and English voice acting tracks. Each one will be selectable from the beginning.
Now, you may be asking yourself: "All this is great, but I came here looking for surprising and unexpected appearances from the past and future of the Igavania genre. What does this update have for me?"
Today's last word comes from—what!?—it's been a long time...
That's right: Robbie Belgrade, the voice of Alucard in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, will be making his triumphant return to voice acting in a special role in Bloodstained.
We'd tell you where in the castle you can find him, but that would be revealing too much...
Want to know exactly where he is? Here's one option: He's graciously offered to record 10 fan messages to help the Kickstarter. Here's the tier information, in case you've been searching high and low for a really sonorous voicemail message:
Check in this afternoon for the third Playism podcast, this week's Ask IGA video, your chance to avenge the last Vine Challenge, and yet another surprising and unexpected cameo. Thanks for backing!
